Finally got COVID... not doing well.
I finally got COVID after all of those years and with my entire family getting infected repeatedly and I'm the only one that seemed to be immune... oh boy, how wrong I was when I went to see a doctor for an unrelated medical issue, then right on my birthday (November 23), I tested positive for COVID. Thanksgiving was cancelled at my grandparents' house, and they were not happy about it... but we couldn't take any chances of me infecting other family members.
So far it's really kicking my ass, even though I'm fully vaccinated. No fun waking up in the middle of the night having coughing fits that felt like you're coughing up or swallowing broken glass. My whole body is aching so badly that I cannot sleep upright or laying down.
For those who are healthy, keep washing your hands and keeping your mask on is the best advice... please no political crap in this journal, I will hide your comments and block you.

But hope you feel better soon. This is how I got covid, and amazingly, the symptoms are the same as those "seasonal allergies" I had in the 70s, just turned up to 15.
Hope you feel better soon.
Know how you are feeling, got the bug in mid October for the first time, and it was like a pretty nasty flu for me. Did not leave my bedroom for nearly two weeks.
