It messes with my eyes as well. Not a fan meself

Many great web companies I buy stuff from are the same, so unergonomic for the sake of appearance!

Plus, they hid the ability to post hi-res stuff behind a paywall...

Well it's not too bad. there's some deadzone on the extreme left and right when you have very large monitors, the reply hide etc buttons were replaced by icons....

tbh It's not as bad as what happened when DA did something similar. that one was really terrible.

Eclipse was utterly repulsive.

Yeah it actually pushed me off DA.

It's worse because they literally had a month of people telling them how much it sucked, and they still forced it through.

well they improved it slightly over the months but it's still bad
at one point they let us use both retro and eclipse

then most used retro till they removed it to force the change

I'm not fond of the change, but part of that could just be the fact that I had just about managed to get used to it from the LAST time the UI changed, and they go pulling this stuff again... not as drastic a change compared to the last time, but still.

I acknowledge that I don't really know the first thing about UI design, though, so it might just be me being too used to the bad old days?

Not like I've got any appealing alternatives but to just get used to it again for now, anyway...
