remember those?! omg so rainbowcemetery was the best and wrote a lil webring code for me to use. i dont even know what kind of ring im going to build yet!!
so i built a demo site, and a demo ring, and i've filled the demo ring with webrings i am stumbling across as i go!
but yeah if anyone has their own site (or wants to make one w neocities) heres the webring code pickup on its lil demo page. i made it some cute art bc of course i did.

its fascinating to learn why they vanished (google ads, tldr) but im like WELL WE DONT USE THOSE ANYMORE LETS BRING EM BACK

so like, say, a furry webring would show you a lot of personal furry pages. maybe some would be character bios/shrines, maybe some would be artists offering commissions, maybe some would be blogs reviewing cons... but you could click the webring code "next" on each site and it'd take you to every subsequent site that joined the ring
its how we used to surf for specific content before google ads made everyone remove such things (and google ads isnt really a thing anymore)
that's all this is?
wouldn't it be better to have some sort of indexing instead of going "next" hazardly?
