Update on things, real life and small delays
3 years ago
Hey everyone, there's been plenty of things going on in my and Kuki's lives recently so we're sorry for keeping you in the dark, it's because we've been busy dealing with real life shenanigans more than usually so that left us with very little energy for online posting, hopefully you can see some more activity from us in the coming days.
TL;DR due to our failing health we need a couple extra days to wrap up the November animation, we're also taking a break in December because the situation with Pixiv Fanbox is looking confusing at this moment and we prefer to wait it out and save us some stress, thanks for your continued support and see you soon with more updates!
I'll try to keep it somewhat brief because I'm trying to cover for a couple things all going on recently.
First of all our health. We've spent the past month running from doctor to doctor and we're far away from being done, so we're just calling it a break in December because there's been too much stress and we need some space to recharge in order to not strain us even further. Kuki was dealing with diagnosing her migraine among other things and getting prescription drugs for it and I been dealing with my strained back that had began giving me more trouble recently. I am currently going through a process of signing up with a physiotherapy program on some experimental new techniques and I will be meeting with some physicians in December because I need some set of guidance advice that will help me specifically other than the yoga that I been already doing on my own.
Due to all this we're estimating that it will take us at least a couple more days to get the November animation art pack out to supporters, which brings us to another question of what we're doing with Fanbox moving forward. You may know already, there's been some updates to Pixiv Fanbox policies which leave us wondering whether or not they will affect us or not. It’s all still very muddy and confusing at the moment, so we decided that it's best to wait and see what happens after the 15th of December when the new set of rules is supposed to start being enforced. It is also why we will get the November art pack sent out your way before the new policies update for sure. For now Kuki will be disconnecting her PayPal from our Fanbox and we’ll see how it goes and whether we return to it in January, because by that time there will be plenty other artists to compare the situation with. If you're unsure yourself, we recommend moving over to our SubscribeStar page for the time being: https://subscribestar.adult/littleweirdoneko
I also wanted to take a second to thank all the absolute gigachad kings and queens that support their favorite artists in any way, shape or form, not only monetary support but even the simplest act of sharing, commenting and faving our creations is always deeply appreciated and I cannot thank you enough for your continued support, y'all are my lifeblood and without you we wouldn't be able to make it during these trying times among all the bullshit negatively affecting online art communities; for real thank you once again and see you soon with more goodies, we all gonna make it <3

I did her from a lot of translators (and I guess Japanese-to-English speakers) that the new rules only apply to uncanny, super-realistic (to the point of my uncomfortness), and AI-generated art. Hyper-cartoony furries and smolies should likely be safe, but it is wise to check and keep touch with the JP-Fanbox community on Twitter. ;_; I'm watching from a-far and see. Though uncensored stuff is well.. Tough in a paywall community hosted in Japan.
Overall... Man. If the changes is just what I thought, then I hope in the future many others (myself included) can safely use Fanbox again. ;_;
Pixiv refuses to address certain topics directly and in the best case that means they want to leave an open door to artists, in the worst case that means they gonna have everyone swept in the ban because of the payment processors putting pressure onto them
The Tumblr ban? That was them. Pornhub purge and the ID system which outs queer folk, possibly in nations where they'd be executed for revealing themselves? Yup. Onlyfans? Next verse, same as the first. Only difference there was OF fought back since they knew their site would be completely dead otherwise.
And none of it did what they claimed. There's still pornbots on Tumblr, and copyrighted material still gets stolen and posted on PH. Yeah, there was a very small amount of.. you know.. that was gotten rid of on PH, but that didn't take deleting literally millions upon millions of videos, including those created by 2D & 3D animators!
They'll always cloak it in some bullshit and throw copyright lawyers at it to make it difficult to fight back, especially given the financial situation even for most popular websites. It's one thing to not be into adult material; ace & aro people are valid, after all! But it's another to impose that upon others, and it sickens me that they're not even limiting themselves to Western media now.
You can search for articles on this subject to see I'm not just talking out my ass, but that's what's happening. Again. It's destroying the livelihood of sex workers, artists and those who support them, all because some prudes are pissed that other people are enjoying their bodies and the display of such, even fictional ones.
I'm sorry for ranting about this on your comment but it's really important for people to know this. They aren't just going for 'our lewds', they want to destroy any sort of sexual expression online, even the safe and healthy stuff, or that which is purely imaginary. And it has to stop.
But regardless, thank you for your kind words!
