That's understandable, my friend. I understand because I went through the same thing. I accepted some requests and several people came asking for art as well. Many didn't understand that I wasn't well and kept asking, no matter how much I said no.

I know you work a lot, man, and sometimes we just want to draw what we like, with no pressure at all.

It's okay, Bigdragon. I understand. It's not easy to do requests for people when they just howl you for it. Them being mad/angry at you is not okay to do and shouldn't be doing it.

You have every right to do what you want to with you're art and enjoy what makes ya happy. even if not a lot of time to do but just keep doing what you do :)

The problem I find with giving free art is that people don't like you or your art. They want something free and if they can't have it then you make someone sad or upset. You can lose friends or opportunities to make good friends, but that's probably not the type of friend you need anyways
Your time is always valuable and worth somethin and you gotta put a price tag on those goods n services or people will take advantage. Good on ya buddy, I know this journal will make some folks sad, but it's your time and effort. Keep up the good work champ~

I think if you really want to be friend with someone is because you like the art or the personality of the artist. A person that only follows you for free art, doesn't care for you, he just want another OC art for the collection. And yes, I don't need someone that only wants that from me.

Time is a valuable thing, a special and completely precious thing in the world and the entirety of the universe itself. You shouldn't have to do anything with your time that makes you uncomfortable, but it may be required for work-related things such as what you do in retail. Some things at my job make me uncomfortable, as I work at a grocer, but my supervisor said this and I remember it everyday I work and everyday that I don't; "Left foot forward, right foot forward, repeat as necessary." I personally try to keep a smile on my face for everyone to see, as I don't know what others are going through in their lives. Maybe their dog is sick and has to be put down. Maybe they are struggling to pay their bills and manage funds. Maybe a relative or family friend of theirs is battling an illness. I don't know, but I always try to make everyone's day a little better. Even me smiling at them and being myself makes me feel that I made a difference in that moment. Back to the free art thing; people shouldn't pester others into doing favors for them, only to bug them over and over and over again when the art will be finished. Things take time, and as I said earlier, time is very precious. Everyone doesn't have time to drop what they are doing and work on a piece of artwork for a complete stranger. I hear where you are coming from, and I understand, and more importantly, respect your decision. Stay safe, bro. 👋😋 Hope to talk soon! 😉

About the free art, it's just sad how some people can be obnoxious with the artists some times, and I had enought of that.
