Well ... bunches of news!
FIRST OF ALL!!
My buddy
ryunwoofie has had some baaaaaaad times with her tablet as well as ... well needs food for the month... so she has opened up commissions!
She is an excellent artist.. I should know!

Next on the Agenda we have some new Iron Artist Contenders!!!
lokis and 
crisisabort both make me really wish I wasn't broke right now or I'd soooooo get ones from them right now. They'd draw sake woozle so well. They wanna take on 100 sketches.. AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF YOU OUT THERE! NOW GO GET THEM FA!! SHOW THEM NO MERCY!!!

I LOVED the art... and I don't know where to find it! If any of you have copies for sale, know where I can find them, or can help me out at ALL, please oh please oh please let me know!! I know some of you are in Europe ( you lucky lucky people you ) and you guys get this kinda stuff published all the time.. you know.. because you all have taste and don't just have walls upon walls upon walls of manga lining your graphic novel sections... or at least I hope so XP

somehow it looks familiar. it might be possible it's actually published here in germany... but I guess a german copy wouldn't be useful for you? I could try and find something next week or so, if you like. yes, we have small-press publishers, but they often don't have a budget to bring their products into the shops properly, and remain a secret tip for a long time.
anyway, about manga not lining the walls... it's not like that, but it comes close. thing is, franco-belgian comics were always strong in germany after WW2, dragging along a whole culture. german artists sometimes copied it; the best ones improved on it and survived. italian comics are still exotic here, except Don Rosa's Uncle Scrooge stories, which have a large fanbase (for a reason. if you liked Carl Barks, check Don Rosa out.)
manga were a rarity here, exotic, something for the geekiest of geeks. Usagi Yojimbo and Akira were the only ones which saw longer publishing, and UY died after the 7th issue.
then there was Dragonball, and they published it in pocket format, and in the original right-to-left format, with a little editorial in the back... and it was a bomb! in it's wake there suddenly were a lot of interesting comics.... unfortunately, publishers sign everything remoterly looking like manga now, regardless of story, sujet, and art wuality. but out comic market has been stagnating for the last 15 years, if not for longer, so there is no 'more', only a larger piece of the pie.
which makes picking out a favourite a tiresome task. especially with an irregular publishing schedule... "Wait, that's #5? where have #2, 3, and 4 been?"
As for Manga. When my older brother got me into it, it was available here but they were kind of lost in the graphic novel section which already was fairly small. But as time went on, anime and manga became even more so popular it started getting bigger. Initially it was refreshing to see comics really getting the attention they deserved! And seeing comics I had been translating for years finally here in the states.. Now it's just so so SOOO widespread it kinda lost it's touch to me ya know?
there are still many different franco-belgian comics here in the shelves, something fro every taste. but due to space and budsget I started to look after stuff with a hint of furry, and here the collection grows thinner. :P
