I would look else where for a furnace. That is way to much. I had a similar issue when my furnace was about to go. The guy give me a price that was ridiculous and said that is the best price around but I went with their competitor and got it for way cheaper. Just remember that they will say what ever they need to say to get you to spend way more money than you need to.

According to my sources, 4-5 k is the normal price of a heater, 6 for a fancy one. And at the very most 10k.

I wouldn't have realized it's that much either. Guess they wanted to just take advantage of the fact you're in a rush to get it done so upcharged before you could think about it
