I'm so fucking stupid
I guess I misheard or misread, but this whole time I thought the replacement furnace was 1,800
I just looked at the bill because I'm filling out this grant work gave me and it turns out, I missed a zero
it's $18,000, not $1,800

I would look else where for a furnace. That is way to much. I had a similar issue when my furnace was about to go. The guy give me a price that was ridiculous and said that is the best price around but I went with their competitor and got it for way cheaper. Just remember that they will say what ever they need to say to get you to spend way more money than you need to.

it's too late for that, it's already been installed, we had to rush order it before the temperatures went into the negatives (Fahrenheit)

my friends are saying they thing I got scammed, I'll be honest, I have no idea what I'm doing

According to my sources, 4-5 k is the normal price of a heater, 6 for a fancy one. And at the very most 10k.

I wouldn't have realized it's that much either. Guess they wanted to just take advantage of the fact you're in a rush to get it done so upcharged before you could think about it
