Are there Automated Temp Blocks/Bans on FA?

My last journal, a month ago, I was really upset because I got blocked by an artist I like and respect. I meant no harm, and I figured I messed up and said something I shouldn't. It happens to me sometimes, my head isn't right and try as I might, sometimes things seem normal or even nice when they're actually really upsetting to others.
I noticed a submission in my inbox from them, and went to their page. I don't seem to be blocked anymore. I don't want to ask them straight up about it, because I already embarassed myself a lot. But, I don't know if they blocked me and unblocked me, or just temp-blocked, since I don't know if that's a thing. Maybe I should just be glad I can see their work again, and I kinda feel like hiding and not talking just in case I screw up again. I guess I just want to know if they went to the trouble to unblock me manually, or if it was automated.
Since they didn't contact me about it, I don't really know what to think about it. Modern internet etiquitte I don't really know or get, it seems like it's still forming. I know that you shouldn't try to go around a block and contact someone, but what if someone blocked you and unblocked you and didn't contact about it? I don't know what to do, or how to feel.

There are a few reasons I can imagine this could happen, first being than the obvious of having bothered the person or someone they know then getting blocked for that (which would be strange for me as I've only ever even had trouble with exactly one artist ever).
But other than that I was thinking maybe the person blocks other people based on the contents of their pages or have some kind of autoblocking stuff that just generates a blocklist based maybe on the content the user uploads or is into? So like if you upload hypno stuff then maybe someone blocks you or you get autoblocked due to that?
That's just a theory though, honestly I'm not entirely sure whats up with random blocks as I've run into a few myself despite not really having any real negative interactions with anyone
