Happy New Year everyone!

You may be wondering why there hasn't been any activity here for the past year, and that is because I haven't logged in for the last twelve months. The reason is one I imagine everyone's heard before. My health took an unexpected dive, and my brain took that small crisis and multiplied it until I could barely function at all. A month away from the site turned into three, and every time I thought about returning I recalled the promises I made to the wonderful people here whom I was disappointing. One small solace was that I never took a payment before completing a commission, but the fact that I promised and couldn't deliver was enough to wreck me.

During this time I did more personal art and gradually began doing some work on my neglected OCs. I even plotted out a multi-chapter comic! It made me realize that commissions, while fun, were adding a lot of stress to what was originally a wonderful stress-free creative hobby. My personal style had also changed, and I was trying to get away from the type of drawing pages and detailed paintings that I had been doing in years past. Basically, I had promised something that I felt I could no longer produce with the same level of enjoyment, and I felt like my work and health was suffering as a result.

So what's the plan going forward? Well, commissions will be closed for the foreseeable future, and I'll be getting in touch with everyone I promised commissions and apologizing for not being able to fulfill them. If I ever open them up again, they will be first on the list, and I also vow to be better about communicating problems before they become full-blown crises.

I will also be posting some of the things I've been working on, and hopefully moving into a bit of a new style.
