Create a more simplified art style?

Been a while since I've done an update on art related stuff.
So far I have been happy with how my art style has been developing but one of the downsides to it is that it takes incredibly long to complete each piece, up to over a hundred something layers in larger pieces (and my tablet that I use for drawing starts to have a stroke with massive art files). I've been having difficulty keeping up with getting commissions done on time. Of course, I enjoy the process but at the same time I feel like it's limiting me to how many art pieces I can create within a given amount of time. I've been thinking that once I finish my current commission list I will limit myself to the number of fully detailed art pieces to something more manageable and work on developing a simplified style that will allow me to create quick art pieces without worrying about it taking multiple weeks to complete. Also, because I don't really have much time to draw each day I feel like it would allow me to create more without sacrificing weeks of time just to create one big piece.

Could always toy with the idea of doing speed paints with a set time frame or whatever? Might be a way of trying things a bit differently.
For curiousity, what is the resolution of the images? I found that the easiest way for me to simplify things, or rather root out the things I was wasting time on was simply drawing on much smaller canvas size for a bit. That could be part of it, simpler images, smaller files.
