Looking for a teacher/mentor
Hello everyone, hope the new year is treating you well or at least better than the last one did.
I'm writing this message as a cry for help in the hope that someone may know or maybe even be who I'm looking for.
As the title of this journal says, I'm looking for a teacher/mentor, an art teacher/mentor to be specific. I've been learning art on my own for too long and the quality of my works are equally taking too long to improve. So I'm hoping that an art teacher/mentor would be able to help me get on track without all the struggling that comes with being self-taught.
I have an idea of where I want to be, but no clue how to get there, all my attempts at art give me certain glimpses of direction but nothing certain. There are too many paths I could take but there is not enough time to try them all, and this is where I believe guidance would help. By reducing the paths from too many to a few, it might take me where I want to be.
The model I have in mind would be some sort of 1-1 meetings, probably bi-weekly or monthly for goal setting, critique and feedback. This type of feedback loop is what I miss the most from online tutorials, and the reason I think I should hold myself from consuming too many of them. It is tempting but it doesn't help me.
If you made it this far in the journal, thanks for reading through my ramblings and if you know someone you could recommend me to check or perhaps send my way I would appreciate it greatly ^^;.
On a second note, I want to say a big thank you to all of you who are watching, favoriting and commenting on my works, your presence means a lot to me and encourages me to get better.
Kind regards from your arty washing bear

Regardless, I do hope you continue to make art and share it with the rest of us. I certainly do enjoy it. :)
If you know someone who could help please send them my way ^^

I might have a friend who might be able at least provide you with regular feedback regarding your work. Though, the slight problem might be that he works pretty much exclusively with male anatomy, so he might not be able to provide you with feedback on that.
Regardless, though, if you'd like to keep regular contact with someone over telegram, I might ask him. Just let me know
But if you are still abroad, there is a huge risk of language barier.
Silverone (Bobbie-Jean Pentecost, BJP) is one of the old school god-tier masters of digital art and 3D modeling, mostly working in Rebelle and Blender these days.
They are busy a lot of time, but they are friendly and approachable, and have a background in teaching art, so you may negotiate system that would suit you both. The group is also a campfire hangout for a number of other cool people, including some good artists.
May you find your mentor! You have taken colossal strides leaning art on your own, and I'm hoping to be amazed by the heights you will reach in the future!
