Yeah, as a writer I HATE that type of RP. Here I am, usually typing out a multi-paragraph post, and they come back with maybe a few words tops. There's only so much I can do with "my character takes a drink and sits there." after I just typed out at least a paragraph. And don't get me started on the UwU types. Either be serious about RPing with me, or kindly eat a bucket of sand.

Now, depending on the person and how well we know each other, I might just type small paragraphs to give them room to maneuver (IE: not taking control of their character), but I'll definitely give them more than just "He walked into the room and sat down."

Small paragraphs have their place for sure! I love it when you get to a really intense part and then you just get to post a short line of dialogue or something, that's gold. But otherwise yeah please give me enough to work with

Exactly! I mean, whenever I RP, even though it's a 'character', I'm always playing as myself anyway. Just myself 'as' that character. Like "okay, what would I do if I was this guy? What would I do and how would I react if I'd grown up as this guy, with his background and personality type?", y'know get into the character's head and see through their eyes.

And yeah, the "Hugs you and rubs against you UwU" types really irk me. Like, I don't do SRP anymore, and even when I *did* I tried to tell a story. Set the stage, give them an idea of where we were and what was happening in the room, that kind of thing. Heck, the last time I did it turned into a 4 chapter short story, with ideas for several more (I never wrote anything beyond those four chapters, which have since been lost). Maybe that's just a curse of mine, though.
