About roleplay

So I'm pretty upfront that I RP a lot but I think I need to be more specific - I roleplay following previously agreed upon prompts and/or with friends, it mostly involves writing a story together. Yes sometimes it's kink adjacent/related, but none of these are sexual
Some of my RP friends I have known for years, and we're very familiar with each others' boundaries and interests by now
If you wanna come up with a story or characters together I'm definitely open to that! But I don't do casual *hugs you and purrs* style or sexy RP so please don't comment/message me about those
Also sorry if this seems like it's targeted AT a person, I'm not upset with anyone specifically, thought this was just a good time to address it

That's fair. I mostly RP with friends, and only when we both want to.
YEAH there's a consent thing that I think gets lost sometimes
Yeah. I hate being guilted into RPing, too. Anyways, I'm proud(?) of you for taking a stand.
Gonna call it 'collaborative writing with friends' instead 'cause that's really what it is
Now, depending on the person and how well we know each other, I might just type small paragraphs to give them room to maneuver (IE: not taking control of their character), but I'll definitely give them more than just "He walked into the room and sat down."
Honestly though the *hugs* types aren't looking to tell a story, generally, which is my main issue. I don't wanna RP as me!
And yeah, the "Hugs you and rubs against you UwU" types really irk me. Like, I don't do SRP anymore, and even when I *did* I tried to tell a story. Set the stage, give them an idea of where we were and what was happening in the room, that kind of thing. Heck, the last time I did it turned into a 4 chapter short story, with ideas for several more (I never wrote anything beyond those four chapters, which have since been lost). Maybe that's just a curse of mine, though.
