I'm sorry to hear about little Neo. I hope you'll be okay. I've never had a pet rat, but I understand that they're really quite good pets.

Ooooh, Rats make the best pets..

aww thanks... he had a good life, sadly I cannot get any more due to my allergies, but they make the best pets ever.

I have held hairless rats and skinny pigs and its a component in their urin that causes my throat to close up and I have a hard time breathing. Also whenever their nails touch my skin I break out in bumps like mosquito bites, cold water helps, but I cannot hold rats without wearing gloves and long sleeves and I cant clean his cage or get him close to my face without wearing a mask... it sucks, but I need to think about my heath first. I have allergies with all small rodents. Seeing as I have a large cage empty I am adopting a bunny next week because I've had them before and I know I'm not allergic to them.
