sooo my art ipad is dead

i'll add the details and attempts to fix it below, so other tech nerds can see i really have tried everything (for like six hours yesterday!!! i got a migraine from all the Apple Branded Bright White websites) but ... unless some miracle occurs it looks like ive lost my brushes, my WIPs, my master files and everything else on there.

the repair shop quoted me higher than backmarket.com would charge to -replace- the damn thing, so that's what i did... ordered a slightly smaller replacement. not...really what i wanted to spend the last of my savings and the All of my bday money on :T

this comes literally one day after i had to put my hedgehog down. for the same cancer i had, in the same place i had. so im like... not in a great mental location. so do forgive if you offer a suggestion and get a terse reply. i am so, so tired.

THE DETAILS OF THE IPAD ISSUE

the problem:
-touchscreen stopped working
-siri not responding
-ipencil (obviously) unable to interface

attempted solutions:
-rebooting it lol
-booting it in DFU mode and updating the OS
-bending it slightly (?? it was a suggestion)
-pressing over the digitizer
-trying to navigate settings by voice (thus discovering siri is broken)
-trying to navigate with a bluetooth keyboard previously paired to it

the bluetooth keyboard is the most telling of all, because though i can interface menus with it? once i do so, it freezes entirely.

so i think that it's something like the board, or the cpu or something that just straight up died on me.

the last hail mary i have (they've all kind of been hail marys ngl my luck has been THAT bad this week i didnt expect ANY of these to work) is to let the battery run down entirely and see if that does jack shit. i dont know why it WOULD, but that's where i'm at.
