FAQ 3 (Valentine GRAND FINALE) + Face Recovery Update
3 years ago
General
GOT THE WIRES OUT OF MY MOUTH BABYYYYYYYYY!
I'm sorry I can't openly talk about the details of my injury as there's an ongoing investigation. The night I was assaulted I was trying to locate the cat cafe in my neighborhood. One of the cats has cancer and I wanted to help them raise funds for his treatment.
SO, to get some closure on this event, I'll finally be going there for their Valentine's day event! And for my first solid food in weeks, I'm going to destroy the most luscious and expensive steak I can get my paws on.
There's still swelling in the lower half of my face and neck. It's red and chonky. I have an even bigger crossbite now and my jaw pops when I open it! Hurray!
My face is healing, but honestly, my brain isn't doing so well... Not to brag BUT I used to be kinda smart. Now I feel like a smart person that's permanently inebriated. Before the head injury, I was working part-time on an integrated Master's of science. I was thinking of doing a career change from art as was very burned out and felt cognitively unchallenged. Ever since the injury however, my ability to do arithmetic has significantly declined. I know I need more time to heal but I'm worried I'll never be the same. I can't even remember how to calculate nuclear decay...
I was eventually supposed to be stationed in British Columbia for my final environmental Master's project because there's high potential for both Canadian terrestrial and marine studies. I wrote a lot of papers on BC wildfires and forestry management, so I'm pretty heartbroken It's going to take me even longer to get there or that I won't get to go at all. I should really focus on therapy and take time off.
THE LAST (non-art related) FAQ. NEVER DOING THIS AGAIN SO ITS A LONG ONE. TMI WARNING.
Some of these are "topics of conversation" rather than FAQs. I skipped over a lot of questions... Some of you are sick, sick creatures.
Q: What do you like about TF?
A: TF makes me feel a very special type of funny, it's hard to explain. There are lots of different facets to it that I like. I think I especially like the idea of being experimented on or something and going through a very dramatic body change.
I want to be fucking torn apart and put back together. I also like the idea of going beast mode and never speaking to anyone ever again.
Q: Why do you like doms / rough sex / non-con?
A: I thought about this for a while since so many dudes ask and are baffled by it (understandable). I think came to a reasonable explanation. The reason I like it is because I sometimes have violent urges. They are a primal part of me, but I obviously choose and want to be a non-violent person. So in my most intimate state (sex), I want to act out those urges in some way with someone I desire and am vulnerable with. I tend to want that violence to be directed toward me rather than outwards. Most likely because of my sexuality and the fact that I like some pain. I want someone I'm so comfortable with and trust so completely that I let him hurt me. I want him to take out his sexual aggression on me. I want both of us to be free to revel in our deep, dark, borderline horrific desires. It's quite the opposite of non-con truthfully. It's a fun way to express sorrow, anger, etc... I don't need it to that intensity in my life though. Just feeling overpowered does plenty enough. There's something very intimate about being at someone's mercy.
Q: Is sex an act of love for you?
A: Yes and no. I don't need to be "in love" to have sex with someone but I need to have some affection for them. What I need is attachment and safety. That's why I'll probably never fuck a stranger but could have a friend with benefits and even a hookup with the right friend. ("Won't you catch feelings though?"). It's possible, but so what? I'm not a teenager or a nutjob. I'm responsible for my own emotions and I can regulate them. Being rejected doesn't have to ruin a friendship or even complicate it. The opposite is true as well. Being told "I love you" doesn't scare me away, regardless of how I feel back.
Q: Can you describe what sex is like for you?
A: Imagine someone made you the best meal you've ever had but they're force-feeding it to you.
Q: Would you rather fuck an anthro or be an anthro?
A: I finna TF IRL... Plus I find humans fuckable already.
Q: How has your sex life changed now that you're a furry?
A: "THE TAIL STAYS ON DURING SEX!"... It hasn't changed yet.
Q: "Can you explain why you don't just go get sex if you want some as a girl? Especially as a non-traditional person. It's kind of frustrating to hear since it's way more difficult for me as a guy but I do genuinely want to understand girls better. I'm socially and emotionally stupid but I find you approachable and relatable thank you."
A: Sure, I could get laid easily yeah... But I wouldn't enjoy it. So what's the point of putting myself at actual risk? It's the same reason I don't buy gas-station sushi even though I fucking love sushi and it might actually be good. I have standards for sure. It's not because I want dudes to chase me or because of a moral code. Physical attraction just isn't enough. I need character and trust. It lowkey sucks but that's what it takes for it to be fun for me. If the world was a safer place then maybe I'd "loosen up" more. Guys have tried to pressure me into being more cool and fun, to stop being such a "woman" about it and just put out. I get it guys... I do. But it would be a lose-lose for me. I gotta look out for #1 and honestly... I don't owe you jackshit.
I'll fuck with pleasure but he's gotta be one heck of a mf and those are rare beasts.
Side note: I'm kind of a sub. If I want to enjoy my kink then I have to drop my hard-ass exterior and surrender. I have to put myself in his hands. It's difficult to be that vulnerable and give someone power over you. At least it is for me.
Q: Do you have a high libido?
A: I would describe myself as a one-man slut.
Q: Do you like foreplay / aftercare?
A: Foreplay is great. I'm learning that I enjoy sexual tension. I've never felt the need for aftercare personally but it's nice.
Q: What do you think about group play / poly / cuckold?
A: I don't think it's really my thing. No experience with it so I don't really know.
Q: BEST: Hole / Position / Sex Act?
A: I prefer vaginal. Anal is good too but it's high maintenance and I still need uh... training. I like getting it from behind.
I also like fellatio but don't have a lot of experience so I'm not good at them I don't think. Getting fingered if he's good at it is premium since I like getting felt up. I've also always wanted to jerk a guy off with an onahole.
Q: WORST: Hole / Position / Sex Act?
A: Can't cum from cunnilingus so I don't care much about it. I'd rather have my tits fucked tbh. I'm also not really interested in pegging. Sex positions where the dick puts a lot of pressure around the pubic symphysis aren't as good imo.
Q: Sensitive spots?
A: Neck, ears, being grabbed by the waist / hips / small of the back. Also the right type of ASMR shit TFs me into a fucking puddle apparently.
Q: Got any good bedroom stories?
A: I don't kiss and tell, but I went into a relationship with a millionaire unknowingly. I also went on a date with a pro linebacker. Living in the 6 was crazy.
Q: Describe the perfect sex.
A: I would like to be fucked with power and enthusiasm.
Q: What are some things outside of sex that get you going?
A: Embarrassing dumb girl shit. I love being driven around while sitting in the passenger seat. Certain displays of athleticism and strength. A good voice. Playfighting.
Q: Do you moan or curse?
A: I moan, I curse, I pant, I beg, I scream.
Q: Outside of TF, do you have any other "furry fetishes"?
A: Not really. I dig monsters and robots tho.
Q: Oh so you don't care about dick size? Liar...
A: I care about the thrust way more than the dick. I like steady powerful thrusts from someone bigger than I am so that I feel the impact and the pleasure radiating throughout my body. Think force > hardness in physics.
Q: Do you want doms exclusively? / Are you purely sub?
A: I don't need a pure dom but I def need the dom experience sometimes. No, I'm not purely a sub. Vanilla sex is lovely.
Q: Do you like ropes or restraints?
A: I'm not sure. I think I'd rather be pinned or restrained with just body weight and strength alone. I like the physical pressure, and it's more personal. I've never been choked before but I don't think I'd like it.
Q: What types and levels of pain do you enjoy?
A: Not sure what my limits are. But I like biting, scratching, being pressed into, grabbed, pulled and pushed roughly. Spanking is good. I like getting my hair pulled.
Q: What type of sub are you?
A: Ya'll like BDSM huh... I don't even really know. I'm not into the culture. I don't think I'm into the master/slave or owner/pet thing, but being called a "good girl" is nice. On the flip side, I've also been called a bratty sub before because sometimes I fight back. I need to be put in my place so to speak. I can enjoy pain but don't enjoy humiliation.
Q: Do you like sextoys?
A: I like toys artistically, especially furry-leaning ones, they're really cool and unique. But I don't use or need much. I use a Hitachi and a soft silicone 5 incher... That's about it. ("Why so small and soft?"). If you think 5 inches is small then you watch too much porn lol. Because it's more realistic and it feels better?
Q: How long has it been since the last time?
A: I might be painting a picture of myself as some sexed-up fiend but I'm really not. It's been like two years. I was in a long-term relationship with someone who became very ill and couldn't be physical anymore. So I went without for like a year and a half until we broke up like 6+ months ago.
Q: What's your love language?
A: Acts of service.
Q: Are you the jealous type?
A: No. I draw porn and I'm pansexual. I don't feel threatened by other people's hotness. Also, it would be very hypocritical of me since 8/10 of my closest friends are straight males.
Q: What's your attachment style?
A: I'd say it's healthy and secure. I have friends I haven't seen in 4 years. When we finally reunite nothing has changed between us and it feels like we just saw each other yesterday.
Q: Your art is very passionate and romantic, what are your views on romance?
A: My understanding of romanticism artistically doesn't come from personal experience.
Romance is primorial, but rarely have I felt it in a "romantic relationship". Perhaps all the pressure and artificiality brought on by the expectations of heteronormative love cramps my style. It's not that I don't want romance, it's that I'd rather none than "doing it because holywood and Jesus told me to" type of romance.
Q: How do you feel about singlehood?
A: If you're not happy single you will struggle harder in relationships. If you're capable of being on your own healthily, then you'll make better choices when picking a partner. Someone who will be a truly positive addition to your life and contribute to your happiness, instead of just whatever you can get your hands on. People are more afraid of what being single means about them than actually being single. The wrong kind of company is far lonelier than solitude. Learned that the hard way.
Q: What do you think about marriage?
A: Too much of a cultural fixation on it. Getting married probably shouldn't be your goal in life. Also, fuck the wedding industry. Why would you spend 15k on one event and 8k on a metal loop with shiny rocks on it? Why do women attribute their worth and love to a piece of jewelry? I'd rather receive a fucking bigmac than an expensive wedding ring. Buy something actually useful instead that you can both use, like a bigass TV or a month-long vacation.
Q: What's the craziest thing you've done for love?
A: Move to another country I guess. I don't see it as a big deal personally since I'm used to it.
Q: What are you like as a partner?
A: I've been told I don't give the standard ~girlfriend experience~.
I would describe myself as supportive, caring, and non-controlling. Not sure why people feel the need to mold their lives and personhood around their relationships so much. If you really love someone why are you trying to cage them? I think I give the experience of a very close friend + skinship. I'm not trying to become your third parent or take up all your free time like an attention vampire. My relationships are important to me, but they're not the center of my life.
Q: What are you afraid of when it comes to love stuff?
A: Being cheated on IF WE AGREED we would be exclusive. It's not even an ego thing, it's a trust thing. It would be a betrayal and ruin the friendship. If you're going to fuck others then just tell me first coward. I'm afraid of STDs.
Q: Describe the perfect date.
A: I understand the question, but I really dislike "dating". Going on a date with a stranger is like taking an ice bath to me. It's uncomfortable, it's cold, and I wanna gtfo of there.
Q: How are you with commitment?
A: It's easy for me. I'm naturally loyal. It can take me a while to fully warm up to people but once I get there the bond is really strong and it's for life.
Q: What's your red flag / sign to end things?
A: When being open, honest, and vulnerable with the other person inflames the situation and makes things worse. It's very damaging when it should be having the opposite effect.
Q: What do you look for in a partner? / What are the most attractive qualities to you?
A: I can't really quantify what it is... Someone I like, with the same relationship style and style of investment. I'm willing to put in effort but the right kind of effort for the right reasons. I want individuality, intelligence, and competence. Personality is (almost) everything. And I love me a gnarly smile and handsome laugh.
Q: What do you want your romantic relationship to be like?
I already answered this, but a lot of people didn't really get my analogy... Here are the basics.
Fun. To me, a fun person is a balance of chill and exciting. I also want the fun of sex.
Respect. I want BOTH our standards and boundaries to be respected. We're on the same team, not rivals.
Trust. I want full trust and comfort so we can be open, honest, vulnerable, and lean on each other.
Peace. I want the peace of being single to carry over into the relationship, with the added peacefulness from the safety of being with a man.
Q: What's been your biggest problem in romantic relationships?
A: The people I've dated have always had a pre-written narrative about how our relationship and our lives should be that just didn't gel with me. I don't enjoy living someone else's badly written mental screenplay. So many people come into a relationship without curiosity... They come in with a conclusion. The relationships I've been in have not been a very positive addition to my life for all kinds of reasons. They have cost me way more than I've gotten out of them. I take my fair share of the blame for that.
Q: Do you think the guy should pay for everything?
A: I'm not a sex worker? In this economy? What year is it? For real, the last thing I want is for a guy to feel used. I hate feeling used. I try to practice what I preach and I'm a team player baby!
Q: What are your thoughts on long-distance relationships?
A: Generally, I don't like the way young people do LDRs. It's very clingy and melodramatic. I like the way my divorced aunts, uncles, and friends' parents do it. It's relaxed. They go about their lives like normal and see each other on weekends or whatever. I guess it takes high maturity, independence, and self-security. I've been in a few LDRs since I move around. I'm theoretically fine with being in one but I don't want to be forced to spend two hours on the phone every single night catching up. I'm not making myself available online 24/7 either. It's weird not getting enough time for yourself when you're not even actually together.
Q: Got any dating advice?
A: I'm not one to be analytical and strategic about it. The best way to get what you want is by "deserving" it. The world doesn't care about what you want, it only cares about what you have to offer. If you can become a person that can give people their needs and desires, then you become valuable. AKA: Stop chasing, start attracting.
Q: What's more important to you? Chemistry or compatibility?
A: Chemistry for sex, compatibility for relationship. Both and it's golden.
Q: Are you a Deredere, Tsundere, Yandere, Kuudere, Dandere...?
A: Nice weeb question. I'm a Deredere but I have Tsundere tendencies. I like lightly bullying my friends, that's how we show a lot of our affection.
Q: Do you want a family?
A: I'm big on "chosen family". I'm missing the companionship I once had since all my close friends are leaving my area. I had already been craving the return of that aspect of life for years since I keep moving around. I hate to admit that I'm lonely, but they really were my family. We used to sleep in a literal hamster pile during road trips for christ's sake! As for children, no.
Q: What's your type?
A: I've dated all kinds. I like individuals. But I guess I like what I would call "macs-nerd". Like heavy-metal dudes, or guys who are really into fantasy football. It's hot and endearing.
Q: What media do you think implanted furry-ness into you?
A: The main one is Pitfall the Mayan Adventure.
Pitfall TMA is my favorite game of all time. My parents were very strict when I was little and I wasn't allowed non-educational video games EXCEPT Pitfall TMA (PC - 1994). I'm not sure what their logic was, but because it was the only real game I owned until I was 11 I was extremely molded by it. I also REALLY identified with the main character.
One of the hardest boss in the game is a jaguar that TFs into a big anthro jaguar warrior man. There's a really cool animation where he dazes you and slices you to actual pieces in one fell swoop. I guess it explains my fascination with TF, big cats, and my desire to be torn apart.
Q: Got any furry crushes?
A: I had the deepest crush on this anthro crocodile from this French kid's cartoon when I was very young. It was so INTENSE and made me feel so many feelings that I cut myself off from the show in order to preserve my sanity as a child. I was also fascinated with the impeccably animated head rotation of Shere Khan from The Jungle Book. I thought it was because I was really into art already, but let's be honest... It might have also been something else...
Q: Who's the streamer that turned you into a furry?
A: @notscotthenson Good man, great tiger.
Q: Who's your favorite pro wrestler?
A: Wow! I wonder why people are asking me this... Hmmm, well like I said, my favorite game is Pitfall TMA so it's gotta be Pitfall Jones RIGHT?! 😼
Q: What type of friend are you?
A: I'm the eldest child in my family so I like to protect and take care of my friends. I'm the responsible one in the group. I'm very supportive, love to help out, and hype when my friends start a project or their own business. I have to admit, sometimes I'm kind of lame because I don't want to learn the dumb card game or participate in the activity. I'm happy with just being around and watching over my people. I'm not "the face" of my friend group but I'm the main pillar.
Q: Which person are you at the party?
A: I'm the one who brought ALL the food and helped clean. AKA the nice, thoughtful, and considerate one lol.
Q: Were you born in a female body?
A: :)
Q: Do you consider yourself attractive?
A: Not really. I think I look okay... I don't think I have an attractive demeanor. I don't really know how to be "sexy".
Q: What makes you happy?
A: Doing the things I love. Good company.
Q: What are you passionate about?
A: Big surprise! I'm passionate about visual art. It really is part of who I am. I love to think about principles of design, visual composition, and narrative illustration. I like to pull techniques from other disciplines and apply them to my work. I've also taught small classes and hosted panels before.
Q: What's the most fun you've had this year so far?
The last time I hung out with my buddies, we were chilling in the garage and started to try to physically hurt each other with pool noodles and inflatable animals. It got really stupid out of hand. I also got fully yeeted into the snow. It's simple but I guess I'm easily amused.
Q: What's something small in your life you wish you'd change?
A: I want to be more touchy-feely with people. I love it when we're watching a movie and someone put their leg on me. MORE HUGS! I have a warm embrace! Pat me on the back. Let me hold your arm when we cross the street or walk through a big crowd.
Q: Are you positive or cynical? / Are you confident?
A: I generally have a positive attitude, I enjoy life. I'm quietly confident, I think I'm capable and I believe in my abilities.
Q: Were you popular in school?
A: I'm chill so I got along with most groups but I wouldn't say I was popular. I was raised by a strict and snooty French woman so I was never in the know about the hottest fads and latest obsessions. This somewhat carried into adulthood. I don't care about social media very much. I barely watch youtube. I was popular in college because I was top of the class and always in a good mood.
Q: How did you come up with your sona?
A: Process of elimination I guess. I thought I was going to pick something aquatic since I would live in water if I could and I love seafood, but nothing felt right. Then I saw a Caracal somewhere and thought "yep, there it is...". I'm kind of surprised. I don't even love them in particular. It's the one thing that doesn't feel wrong.
Q: If you could have one body part from your sona, what would you pick?
A: As a furry, I'd love a tail because, well... I don't have one? After that the feet, then the hands.
Q: Describe your lifestyle.
A: I enjoy nice and finer things but in a minimalistic way. I live alone and I hate it, I want good housemates. I travel too much to have pets unless my roomba counts.
Q: Are you religious? / What way you do lean politically?
A: I had no concept of religion until I was 10+ years old, so no. Take a WILD fucking guess at which way the artist/scientist leans politically.
Q: Were you in denial as a furry?
A: No. I'm an open person and I was already a "weirdo". I just didn't know. It was inaccessible data in my brain. In my defense, the vast majority of furry art and fursuits aren't appealing to me. Took me a while to be exposed to what I like. Can't wait to contribute more to it.
Q: Do you have any other talents besides artsy stuff?
A: I'm a diver so I'm a great swimmer and I can hold my breath for a long time. I can bake and cook decent too.
Q: What other skill do you wish you had?
A: I'm always tempted to learn base guitar and join a band. I wanna strum, tap and slap. I also wish I was better at Javascript and C#.
Q: What type of media / music / genres do you enjoy?
A: Whatever's good. I gotta say, I don't like horror. I'm jumpy.
Q: Do you dance or sing to the music you like?
A: That's cute. I Dance, poorly! I like it when other people sing though. I'll be your shitty backup dancer.
Q: Coffee or tea? / Booze or weed? / Day or night? / Cats or dogs? / Friends or Seinfeld?
A: Coffee in the morning (Black espresso), tea in the evening (Actual tea leaves).
/ Neither, being drunk or high is a dull experience for me, I get tipsy off half a drink anyways. / Night. / You serious? / Seinfeld no contest.
Q: What places have you lived in?
A: Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, random places in Ontario, Seattle, Pittsburgh area (I still go to Appalachia a lot for science work stuff), and I lived in France with my relatives for a little bit.
Q: What are your dreams and aspirations?
A: I've achieved a lot of my goals already. I kind of needed a change of pace (read intro). I'm not worried about any goals right now. I'm just being as easygoing as possible and doing whatever I want.
Q: What happens if I see you at a furry con?
A: If you're small I'm picking you up and spinning you around. If you're big I want you to hug me so hard I crack in half like a glowstick.
Q: Is there anything you ACTUALLY want people to know?
A: I want to work with people in the community. I want art trades, collabs, commissions, and whatever other projects and things I can help out with!
Thanks everyone! It's been fun but shut up now so I can turn back into an art machine.
I love you all very much you sick nosy freaks.

FAQ 1 FAQ 2
FA+

I do so want to give you a hug so move back to the west coast already.
Only YOU would have a tiger print beret lol!
Can you believe the beret is pre-furry?
He's gonna be fine!
My sister is tiny and she probably would of died.
