Updates and Info #3 (Price Changes, Life Updates, Etc!)
Hello again cuties! I’m a little early this year with my updates, but it’s for a good reason. If all goes as planned, I’m going to be moving out of my current living situation, and in with my fiancee near the end of March. My current living arrangement is unpleasant, as an understatement, but financially cheap, which is why I’ve held out so long here. I live with a parent, who, to phrase it politely, does not treat me with respect. When I requested that they use the correct pronouns and name for me recently, tensions reached a head and I was pushed to leave.
I think all of this will probably be for the best, and at this point I’m starting to feel optimistic, but my living costs will also be going up dramatically. So! I’ve got a bit more of a price hike this year, and I’m pushing the price sheets and updates out a bit earlier, so hopefully the actual changes hit in Spring this year, instead of a few months later once my queue turns through.
As always, I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to each and every one of you. My hella sweet friends, lovely commissioners, and all of you cuties who favorite and follow my work: Thank you. Without you, I’d be in a much tighter spot than I am today, and I’m looking forward to carrying on my life in a happier, healthier environment.
In terms of updates:
- I am raising my Flat Price commission prices again. All base prices (for single pieces and reference sheets) have gone up by +$10, and some extras (extra characters, poses) have increased by +$5. Price changes will not affect customers currently in the queue, or waitlist, but you are always free to choose to pay the newer prices; it would help me out a lot.
- This was announced a while ago for a different purpose, but I’ve got a Ko-Fi page! If you’d like to support what I do, or even just lend a paw with upcoming moving costs, you’re totally welcome to do so there, and I would be beyond grateful.
I am going to be saving up for a vehicle so I’ll have transportation of my own, once I’m moved, so anything left over from moving will be going toward that, too.
I think that’s about that for this year; it’s been a crazy year, but I’m looking forward to seeing what 2023 has in store for me, as well as all the cuties I'll get to draw. And once again, thank you, a million times over, to all of you for supporting me, working with me, and allowing me to do what I love.

Hoping that your support network of customers and friends will only grow larger in the near future, and help stabilize your financial situation. You are a wonderful artist with a one-of-a-kind style, and a real treasure for the art communities here on FA, and I'm sure people will be happy to help you out of this crisis.
Thank you for making this update; it couldn't have been easy to articulate all those points when your livelihood and access to housing hangs in the balance like that. Best of luck!
As for stress and gauntlets; truth be told, most things should get easier. I will no longer be taking care of the parent who is treating me this way, I'll have access to public transit so I'll be able to actually get around and function on my own (with the added bonus of not being stuck in suburb hell, where everything is like 20 miles away from everything else), I'll have my fiancee's help and companionship. As much as the financial aspects are scary, every other aspect is a 100% improvement from where I am now.
And thank you for thanking me! I did have a little trouble writing this one, it was hard to sort of balance my sort of... unwillingness to admit there's a problem, very "everything is fine" meme dog energy, but also kinda go, "yeah okay everything is not fine and I should probably let folks know what's up"
I've known people move out of abusive family homes and start breathing freely, but within a year they'd have enough difficulties to deal with that it gets almost as bad, and I've seen people continue living with their unsympathetic parents, and do fairly well, but still spend some days in tears because of some vile remark from they people they can't escape.
It is very difficult to make a life-changing decision like that when the situation is highly grating and uncomfortable, but not critical, so it feels that if you wait for long enough, everything will blow over and sort itself out, but it hardly ever does. Can't judge your situation, but it is supremely important to have your own private patch of living space that no one will intrude on to hurt you and undermine the foundations of your personhood, and I believe you're making the right choice for yourself.
May the two of you help each other through the hardest parts of it, and soon attain the new safer and happier life for you both!
