Into the Sunrise: Comic Announcements and Questions

I think thats about good!.. for now! The initial section of the Long Hike is now complete! It only took like, you know, a little over 2 years but hey! I will say as far as a comic goes I didn't think I had it in me to draw a big comic with hundreds of pages in it so I think that has me happy to finally wrap up the initial spurt of the Long Hike.
Anywho so lets talk plans
So is this the end of The Long Hike?
definitely not! But I will be taking a breather for a couple months here to do some side stories and comics for the DragonScape.
Been doing the Long Hike for more than 2 years straight and I do want to take some time to do some other things in the DragonScape setting before headed back into The Long Hike to explore some other spots and regions that the Hiker is not gonna reach or that I may never get the opportunity to show off in one way or another. Imuas journey is just a small part of the Dragonscape in a very particular and small period of time in the DragonScape. I want to tell at least one side story in the meantime and do a few other things.
so I will return to TLH, but it will be a few months, 3-6 or so while I draw up some other comics and do some other smaller projects to get some other stories into the DragonScape and whatnot.
So some potential projects in the meantime
There are a few things I want to knock out here, mainly 3 things
First is just a small series of doodles of alternate endings to The Long Hike, fates that the Hiker could have reasonably wound up in should events had gone differently! Different paths as it were
An even smaller project, gotta start kicking in that ëldimor atavism into the Long Hike as it should be happening right about the time of the comic, time to give the folks a good furback so expect a very short set of comics to cover that (1-3 pages).
Lastly I have some plans to tell at least 1 short story... or 2
Probably somewhere near the same length as a typical Long Hike chapter (40 pages), not sure if I will be doing 1 or 2 short stories, but allow me to ask you folks
would you prefer one or two short story comics?
At least one of these stories is gonna take place in a different period of the Awakening Era and region than Hikers time in the comic, and another could be something of a backstory or followup story for a character or place that has already been covered in The Long Hike that hadn't had the chance to get fleshed out a bit, strong temptation to get some context on Sarah.

Seeing this comic/project hit its first major "its ok to put the story down" is kinda surreal to me, Lots has changed over the past 2 years and to be frank I wasn't expecting so many folks to read and enjoy the comic! I can't say enough how much I appreciate everyone and everything, it's been humbling and I wish I knew a way to give my gratitude better! I am glad you guys have all enjoyed the comic, I hope to not let you down and I am gonna keep on keeping on for the while so expect some stuff of some sort very soon!

It's strange how attached we get to characters as we read or watch things. I'm glad this isn't the last we see of the familiar dreks we know and love 😁
I don't have much input other than I love to see artists explore their worlds and share with us :)
and yeah for sure we will see a return of the Long Hike in earnest though of course, I think its good to take a breather for a short while from Imuas hikes.

I don't mind either format. I am just a casual reader of your comics so I am simply glad for more.

Honestly I look forward to any little stories you want to write up about this land, alternate/bad ends to the Hiker's journey so far, expanding on the lore..
I think stories on how each of the other well-spoken "firsts" got to where they're at would be real neat. I don't mind either way if it's one or two extra little main stories, my bias is towards 2 just because more Dragonscape lore~
In the end, really I'm just excited to see any and all future stories you wanna share about this world, as a fellow world builder I always like seeing the love and care put into unique worlds like this.
There are a lot of side stories on the burner that I wouldn't mind, at least two of which are 1st generation early day stories, one being a remake of "Good Morning?" To flesh it out and fit it in the canonical story, and another one being a totally new region with a totally new character. So an early awakening time story is on the books! Though of course I am also looking to fast forward with at least one story, capture the DragonScape 50+ years after Imuas arrival.

i'd be happy with either tbh, but if you're not sure yourself i think it'd be more fun to explore more side stories before you return to the long hike rather than less :3
