I wanna keep this short but I want to give some context, long time ago when I was in a previous relationship I had a dog, lets call her Daisy. Daisy was and still is one of the most important things that have happened to me, after the relationship ended, we decided that Daisy was gonna live with my ex and I would pick her up twice a month to spend time with me, she was my first dog and I love her so much that of course I was gonna keep looking for her.

We did this for a year all 2021, but at the half of that year I started to notice that each time I picked Daisy to stay with me, she would get stressed, didn’t want to eat, and I felt she was sad for moments. So I decided to pick her up less frequently, but things didn’t get better sadly. She missed her home and dogs don’t understand human things sadly. So with all the pain in my heart, I decided to stop seeing each other, January 1st 2022, it was and has been the most difficult decision I have made in my life. This has been a bit more than a year ago, but I still think of her, watch our photos and miss her every single day.

Fast forward February 2023. This week, I received a message of my ex, telling me that Daisy was sick, she couldn’t move and stand at all, less walk or run. They took her to the vet and have been making tons of test to see what’s going on, but with no avail, treatments are not working sadly. The vets told us she was quadriplegic.

This caught me off guard because I could never imagine something like this happening to Daisy, even now writing this, it breaks my heart reading it.

We have tried different vets and a miracle happened for a brief moment, Daisy stood up, shaking and weak, but she stood up, when my ex told me this I was so happy and could see some light at the end of the tunnel. We took Daisy to a new vet who looks more knowledgeable all around, and it is having a new treatment, still unable to walk or stand, but we can see her moving a bit her back legs.

This has left us with a tons of expenses for the treatments and vet visits, medicine and such that neither of us expected to have. I haven’t seen Daisy for more than a year, but I’m gathering all my strength to go and see her, help her with her treatment, and give her strength to recover faster. We still have hope that she recovers.

So, what I’m asking is for your help in this difficult time, I’ve been trying to sell tons of ych’s this week to cover/help some of that, but with no avail sadly.
