People need to be kinder
I never write about my opinions but this one is a message I'd want out there...
The world should be kinder
And how can it be? By us being kinder... Everyone of us trying to not be as bitter and mean in the most mundane and tiniest of affairs...
As a Trekkie, there is a quote that really stuck with me...
"I understand what you've done here Q,
but I believe the lesson could've been learned without the loss of 18 members of my crew"
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to run back home and crawl under your bed.
It's not safe out here, it's wondrous. With treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross, but it's not for the timid."
It makes sense but it isn't as grim as it may seem.
The world really is not a kind place. Nature is fairly cruel in many of its processes.
It is a duty most ungrateful, but we as sentient beings possess the means to create something better. A tiny task for every single one of us.
Just be the best you can be, even very tiny things will matter, and if enough do it, if enough of us just are a little nicer, not take out our respective pains and bitterness on others, and if that ever happens learn to apologize for it,
the world as a whole would become a lot kinder. We cannot change nature, but we can change ourselves as a part of nature and the world.
Look at yourself and make that tiny change if you can.
The greatest miracles I ever experienced were exactly that: Rare people that when the time came chose to give me a chance, to show me kindness when they did not need to,
and likewise the worst things I experienced were those being bitter and throwing their pain at me that truly caused me turmoil and hardship.
It is up to you. All of us have something to carry. Will you let the pain end with you or hurt someone else for it?
It'll be rough but I believe this to be the way forward.
This... Is my philosophy. Disagree if you wish but I think it is a good one to live by.
