Like many people, I've been following the story of ChatGPT as it continues to make headlines and showcase its ability at creating human-like responses to prompts. I actually studied AI in university for both my undergrad and masters degree, so I have a decent though very broad understanding of what's going on under the hood. Of course, I come to FA not to expound about AI, but to explore furry weight gain. So... why not put the two interests together here 😈
I decided I'd do a test to see what kind of short stories ChatGPT could write and I have to say I am impressed. Below you'll find an unedited brief chat between me and ChatGPT where I ask it to write a romantic story about Fox and Wolf (one of my favourite fanfic relationships) and then to continue that story with some relationship weight gain on Fox' part. I'll let you read the transcript and then below it I'll put some additional thoughts I have about the stories it generated.

- I am very impressed that even though ChatGPT pushed back about healthy ideals etc etc, I was able to "convince" it to write the story anyway by suggesting a way to stay true to the positive image
- I'm very curious to know if it can easily be convinced to write darker things, or if it will stay true to its original statement of "provid[ing] responses that are respectful and appropriate for all audiences"
- Even with the supposed slant towards body positivity that it was tasked with, it still wrote the story in a way that fox ended up exercising and building muscle. I'd be curious to know here if it's simply an outcome of how frequently this type of body is shown to be desired... maybe with further prompting we could get it to write Fox as definitively fat and not just muscle-chub(?)
My preliminary take away from this is that it would actually be a great tool to _start_ a story from. Personally I think a lot of embellishing and editing would be needed to make the stories above be worth showing to the community as consumable, enjoyable work though.
