Laid off, commissions open!
Long story short, I've been laid off and need to pay bills. Check here for my prices and send me a message if you're interested: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9019586/ Thank you!
Now, for the full story...
Some of you who follow me know I've been working at Amazon for the last few years. Well, the warehouse I was working at is downsizing and the shift I was working on got cut. This has actually happened to me twice now in the last few months. There isn't any shifts I can transfer to this time around though, since I'm not dropping out of college to push boxes.
Ironically, I stepped away from doing commissions to work full time to get more job security. Do I feel like a fool now lol.
Anyhow, I have a few months expenses saved up. I want to see how close to supporting myself I can get off commissions alone. I never expected to be able to get any paid commissions, so the fact that there are people out there willing to commission me in the first place makes me hopeful. I'm certain, if I had all the time in the world, that I'd get there eventually. The question is how close can I get before my savings dry up. I'm estimating I'd need to do about 20-25 commissions per month to make ends meet. This is completely doable on my end, even with school. I just don't know if I can get that level of interest though.
Anyhow, these next few months are likely going to be turbulent, but I'm confidant that I'll be able to land on my feet. Thank you to everyone who took the time to read through my bellyaching! I'm looking forward to getting back to drawing now that I'll have some more free time.
