So after sleeping in and relaxing, I'm ready to tell my experience at Furnal Equinox. I've met a lot of amazing people and had a great time not overworking myself. If you wish to know what my experience at FE was like with pictures, please continue to read.
Day 1: Arrived on Thursday and got the room without issues. I was lucky as I got a corner room on a floor close to the main floor. The room was bigger than other rooms and was a great place to hang out in. Ate dinner at Ravenloft with friends and set up my table for Friday.
Day 2: Dealer's opened. 105 Dealers in one room and I felt intimidated. Many big names. 30 clients rushed to my table to order commissions from me, all within 2 hours. Could only take 8 on the spot commissions. Wanted to pace myself this year. A lot of people understood. ❤️
Met MerleKoz and his friends ( Im sorry if I can't remember your names. Memory is shit. Shout yourself here! ) at Reg line. An Amazing guy and wonderful company!❤️❤️
Elevator Con started. 3 out of 4 elevators were working. 20 minute line all the time, North Tower ... Yay.
Day 3: Managed to get badges done. kurenjiworkshop, twstacker, saxology, NordstromKaiju. . Met taliruq_, C0ASTDOG and SEVENAM_ at my table!! ( might have fanboyed😳) Met Leon_the_Fox and DariusTheSnow.
Closed commissions after taking 10 more clients.
Participated in SeikaSkye's Smash Tournament. So many hardcore players from previous years that really gave an amazing challenge. Lars, one of the top Smash players in Ontario, was there! Managed to battle him in Grand Finals. Won 1 out of 3 with Pikachu. Was an honor getting destroyed by a pro tournament player!😁
Day 4: Finished 4 illustrations. DanRaccoonKit, MiwAuturu, Stripes & Wi Orca. Sold more shirts, have few left. Met many more awesome people at the con! Dined with DarkBunnySauces at The Keg with other friends. Spent the night hanging with friends and playing Smash Brothers.
Heard what happened the day before about the Dance Competition and the Hotel incident. I was not there at the Dance and was asleep during the other event. A statement was given out by FE soon after.
Day 5: Got the hefty bill for the hotel ( ow ) and traveled back home with a friend. Arrived safely at home at night and just relaxed and unpacked. Collected many many awesome gifts and purchases! Was a great convention and can't wait for next year!
Now time for commissions!
So now, I have over 40 badges to do post-con including left over commissions. So when will I be opening for commissions again? Not sure. I honestly don't know. I plan to do a YCH in May, but right now I can't take any more commissions. I'm completely swamped. However, I will announce when I will be opening up for commissions again in the future, so please keep an eye out for any announcements.
