I had to go hunting for it too XD - most artists I really notice just put their own thing in the Profile Info (the top box for info that you have all your links and stuff in) that says if they are open or closed. Can add special text and bold and make it fancier like that which is more eye-catching.

yeah i have it in there but its a bit of a pain to change and some people have found it confusing. Was hoping that the toggle might help a bit but maybe not. what do you think of my current layout?

I imagine if people are used to looking at it, then it is definitely helpful (the toggle, that is) - I think as a feature of the site, it is kind of not the best for those just visiting a page. XD; But it could be good to do when open again, never know!

As far as the setup right now, informationally, I think it is very nice~ I would say if need to change anything, could make the open/closed part a bit more noticeable (green for open/red or something for closed?) and maybe just have the commissions section wrapped up in its own little... well, 'section' like a "This is commission info" header and "This ends the commission info" footer or something for all the pertinent stuff. Colors for labeling and all is nice too. I've never done much with font styles and and all on FA to know what can really be done to make something pop or eye-catch. Also I've never had too much trouble with how your stuff is set up right now, but could be just from getting used to stuff too. XD

What do you think now? Unfortunately changing the color is just too much of a hassle, esp needing to make sure its legible in both dark and light mode. tbh I would even not like to have it say open/closed and just keep that in submission/journal titles but that seemed to be confusing for ppl

I think it is a bit better, yeah! And can understand on the color bit, haha. XD; And actually, I imagine could keep it Commissions Open/Closed if going to keep it as the featured journal like now - having that as the title on whether open or closed would let you not need to worry about the bit in the Profile Info relaying that info, could just take it out.

I will say, though, after all of this, I am not an expert on advertising or anything like that~ Would be a good idea to ask other artists - this is just things I've seen other people do/would probably do if I ever did commissions (For what? Who knows XD) Usually a submission with Commissions Open (picture submission, but journal also works) and price sheet or easy link to it seems to get the most eyes.
