FWA is on, Megaplex is off

I’ll be doing FWA next month, probably taking Amtrak there since it’s not much more expensive or slower than driving and way lower effort and I don’t trust airlines with my costumes. Currently looking yo be at the con Friday-Sat and at Six Flags most of Sunday, maybe maybe I’ll stay Monday if a local non-fur friend wants to do anything. No plans to do dance comp since finals are on Sunday and I highly doubt I’d stand a chance getting in, but I’ll probably try out for Floor Wars because tryouts for those kinds of things are usually tons of fun on their own. I have a really really stupid anthro-related song I’ll probably do if there’s karaoke and this time my voice cannot crap out on it, it’s impossible to sound too bad/stupid singing it because that actually makes it better. Unless something comes up I’ll have a cool new head (not by me) to debut, I’ll try and slap together an outfit for it in the meantime. Beyond that not certain which suits I’ll take, Rainbow Randall probably won’t be coming.
Megaplex is most likely out of the picture unless something major happens because boss has given approval for me to take two weeks off in late September to go to Germany for Oktoberfest, amusement parks, and other stuff. I refuse to do major trips/cons back to back anymore out of fear of getting sick and having to cancel the closely following event. I also probably wouldn’t have enough vacation hours anyways. But I do have a good idea of how I’d get there if I go next year or something, the Auto Train would be perfect to avoid the $90+ a day car rental costs I get for being under 25 and bring all the fans and costumes I want in my car on the train. It may be more expensive than other trains but good god the rental car thing more than makes up for it.
Beyond that, don’t really have con plans for later in the year. I’d probably be open to something in Nov/Dec (not MFF though lol) and I’ll probably do NYFB but that’s a small localish event.
Definitely still dancing even though I haven’t got into anything since MP2021. If anything I’ve been doing more formal classes and will hopefully make a glorious return or at least do more videos sometime.

Ngl also partly why I increasingly feel antsy booking stuff further in advance vs like a month before, yeah it’s cheaper and more versatile but I can’t shake the fear of something freak happening or having some better opportunity come up I can’t do
