Gold is fine addition to any design, and might complement white scales or fur!

That being said, thank you for your suggestion! I agree that a purely white design might lack excitement, unless it's paired with a really interesting and catchy character design. Gold, on the other hand, tends to enhance the appeal. I appreciate your response, and Merry Christmas ^^
