So about The Kissing Pole fonts

General
I like using specific fonts to denote when certain characters are speaking. I like how colors can denote who's currently speaking and how fonts give a visual flair to their words, especially if said font compliments their personality. I was all fine and dandy with downloading more fonts, that went great. However, if you're familiar with Night in the Woods, you'll know that the font used for Mae in this work is faithfully based on the font used in the game. It pretty much uses the sprites of the font from the game and turns them into a OpenType font file that can be used for any program on your computer that allows for font changes. It's pretty neat that somebody went out of their way to make this, but when I initially went looking for this, I found the initial links to be dead. I thought, "Well, I can try to recreate it." Wrong decision. Ultimately, I probably got about halfway through the process of recreating it when I realized my initial blunder: due to my lack of familiarity with Reddit (I don't have an account), I found out that the original poster of this font actually made a follow-up post about four years after the fact to provide a working link. I didn't figure this out until maybe 4 hours after stumbling my way through learning how to make a font type.
What I'm trying to say is fuck me. I ended up wasting 4 hours of my time (at least I learned a little on the way), but hey, I got the font in the end. If anybody wants to use the NITW font for themselves, go here: https://www.reddit.com/user/Cascadi.....he_woods_font/
Don't make my mistake. Continue those Reddit threads.
