dark : objectification, animated inanimates (pooltoy, inflatable, plush..you name it) offten seem to be a quite reguliar individuals just with an unusual body (and more or less pronounced innate likings toward the activities of their nature ). Whereas the opposite (unless going full inanimate) is rarer : a being who do had a personnality but is first and foremost an object. Same goes for their autonomy, normaly thoses object are manufactured products, sold, owned by someone, had packaging (I remember a tf wich came with their own toybox packaging for the victim), stored somewhere, used for a reason. This can be interresting to explore thoses aspects (not necessarly all at once), be it as a tf result or if the character was born this way.

Yeah. Those sound like good ideas, just again yeah there is a lot to take in from your reply. Just yeah there is like total inanimate tf like mind not being there, becoming a normal toy ready for play or there is the more unusual kinds like turning into a thomas-styled engine.

Indeed vehicules tf/sona tend to be like that since it's less obvious to anthropomorphize them (unless going the transformers route)... beside planes apparently. (vehicules weren't what I had in mind when I wrote that, but it's true you had comissioned several vehicules like that)

As for full inanimate tfs, being mind wipe, "I-am-a-toaster-I-am-a-toaster-I-am-a-toaster", or just trapped in a static body, I count them more as a form of petrification.
And if it's not a tf, hard to say much since it's just an object being there, beside going the alternate reality way : "this is Spyro the party balloon, no this is not spyro transformed into a balloon, this is not a Spyro merchandise, this is a reality where Spyro only exist as a mass produced party balloon"

Or even ambigious when the vehicule is anthropomorphized and seem it could be a whole spetrum of in-between organic and mechanical. Like when I saw a metalic looking aeromorph with a belly button, who knew how "alive" she was.

Yeah being brought to life could be one way to branch it out...hum remind me of a recent remake of a Disney movie.

Uh huh I get what you mean. I usually have a spectrum of animacy depending on their flexibility, autonomy and anthropomorphism. Also depends on design as well in some cases like stiff and talking via radio to fly flexible talking with a mouth.

Yeah I saw that sheep tf one. That one was a favorite of mine, really liked that. Just yeah they could be perma mental tfs there as well. Can be many paths for Spyro, either TF wise or existence wise like in another verse where he's a non-sapient feral dragon.

If going the feral way it can be push further by making verse where spyro, or ember or any dragon of your liking, is not a feral dragon, but a specie of feral dragons... or just small dumb lizards instead of proper dragons
