Things were starting to feel good in life, I should've know that means I'm going to get kicked in the face soon.

So my car was having issues. The engine sounds like a lawn mower and the Service Engine Soon message was on.

So I called my dealership today and described the issue. They think it's a case that my Catalytic Converter has been stolen off my car.

Replacing that part on my Outlander will cost around $1500. Which I don't easily have on me after moving expenses and life stuff.






To add to this, it was highly advised I get the car towed there for two reasons.

1) Depending how slipshot the removal of the part could be, it could make driving the car dangerous.

2) Driving without this part is illegal in Texas and could get me a fine of $25k















Ironically the fine for stealing said part is only $10k. Punish the victim, that sounds like Texas alright.

Needless to say I'm doing my best not to have a full on panic attack about this. This is the LAST thing I need right now, and what will prevent it from happening again?!
