Yeah what they left on the front page pretty much says it all, and a lot of the points make sense. FA has been a pile of shit since I can honestly remember run by incompetent admins whose heads are in the wrong place.
A lot of Trunch's words speak true from what I've seen through personal experience or saw from other artists. The thing that sucks is it's hard to get away from cause this is literally where everyone hangs out.

Grim and Trunch are either the same person, or they've both actively made attempts to pretend to be, up to and including matching art styles, drawing the same characters, using the same aliases as each other, and one of them outright admitting it.

I don't know about recent stuff, but I know that a while back they revealed themselves as being very pro-cop in an incredibly assholish fashion, during the height of the BLM protests. I stopped following them at that point.

That also fed the potential evidence that she and Grim were the same person, because he's a cop.

Last I remember they made some journal calling out some artist because they were butthurt that the artist added a dick to their artwork which the artist said was not a porn thing but a "part of life" thing (the pic in question was not sexual in nature from what I remember). I managed to take a screenshot before they took the journal down for good.

Someone also told me once how they talked to trunchbull for some time, then stopped, then talked to them again and the response was "I don't know who you are" + block.

No, they're not. The confusion is understandable. I've been watching both of them for a long time and I originally wasn't sure myself, but evidence eventually accumulated that proved they were different people. They do know each other.

Grim is a dude who fairly recently became a cop and lives in the Southwest, IIRC, in the US, and Trunch is a woman with health issues living in Europe and isn't a native English speaker. That journal was having fun with the confusion, and only fed it, and was deleted pretty shortly after it was posted.

Trunch is definitely spiky, and I heard from someone who's personally dealt with Grim that he's a jerk.

Grim claimed to be a different individual from Trunch a while back, even claimed on Kiwifarms to not even know them personally, only for them to "collab" soon after on a webcomic.

As far as those being the same character, there are definite similarities, but there COULD be explanations for that beyond them being the same person as well.

Trunchbull is definitely capable of doing many styles.

Grim started by aping Glip/PK's style (Quite well, may I add), but is quite capable of doing at least somewhat different stuff, but it's been mostly comic based stuff. At the beginning I thought Grim was Trunch because of her facility with different styles. I've no doubt that she could ape Glip's style if she wanted to.

There have been times when they were both simultaneously awful busy which would make it hard to believe that one person was simultaneously producing that quantity of distinctly different work.

Someone was able to figure out at one point that they were using the exact same paint program, (Like, the EXACT same by registation# or something, not just the same program) but Trunch claimed that she had copied hers and given it to him.

Trunch has always seemed to be an older woman with health issues, and to be mixed race Asian/White, living in Eupope, with a long history in art. Grim seems to be a much younger black gay man living in the US.

Probably the most convincing evidence I've that I've seen is that Grim seems to show a distinctly different personality on his page. The continued narrative of his studying to be a cop and then becoming one is pretty convincing and consistent, and differs distinctly from everything Trunch has said. Grim has also never shown the combativeness and petty argumentativeness towards other artists on his page that Trunch consistently has.

I have had continued doubts and questions, and I've seen the definite similarities sometimes shown in their art, and at least some things that I've heard about their personalities. There have long been bits of evidence pointing both ways, and even given the assumption that they're different people, they've definitely sown confusion in both directions. If they ARE one person, they're AWFULLY clever about crafting different narratives about the two, and mind bogglingly productive. I'll always hold out a certain amount of skepticism as to their being different people, though, and you've definitely fed that once again.

The number of coincidences you're either directly claiming, or implying, is ridiculous.

I noticed someone who I was pretty sure was Trunch who had jumped on the Anti Glip hate train, which seemed in keeping with her personality. How do you know that that account was tied to Grim? -I was pretty convinced that it was Trunch, IIRC, but at that time I was pretty convinced that Trunch and Grim were one and the same, so my memory could be a bit fuzzy there. I think I even mentioned to Grim that I thought I'd spotted him on KF in a comment I left on one of his submissions here back around then. I do have to take anything I see on KF with a rather large grain of salt, though. It's an "Interesting" place for gossip, snark, rumors, and as a window into hate, but certainly not a particularly dependable source for most real information.

When Grimart first surfaced there were rumors/accusations that it was PK/Glip floating around. Eventually, in the Glip thread on KF, a user outright said they were the one who ran Grimart. They're a long time and active user of the site, even donating to it. There's little reason to believe they just made it up for the sake of it based on context and their activity since.

Grim also responded to someone on e621 who was accusing them of being on kiwifarms, to which grim responded in the effect of "being on kiwifarms doesn't make someone a bad person".

Nothing 100% definitive but certainly a bit too much smoke for there to be no fire.

I won't deny that it's possible. people are weird, and can do some deeply weird shit If nothing else, the confusion seems to be promoted by the perpetrator(s).

Communication on teh interwebs and language in general is always fraught.

When Grim first showed up here, I also wondered if they might be Glip. They did a very credible job of copying their style for quite a while, but there were differences, both in the art and the tone of the stories.

There was one camp of people who thought it was Glip based on the art style, and then there was another group of people who thought it was Trunch because they'd copied glips art style before, if memory serves.

I don't recall seeing Trunch copying Glip's style, but I could well have missed that. No question she could if she wanted to. She's obviously a very talented and versatile artist. That's what attracted me to her work in the first place.

As a bit of a side note, coincidentally I just heard from a friend who has been connected with Glip for a long time, and gave me some very interesting insights into Glip as well as Grim, both of whom she dealt personally with for a long time on Discord, as well as another artist who's very influenced by Glip's style. I think she still communicates with Glip.

Also, Glip seems to be going by yet another new name, which I don't immediately recall, and identifying as male now.

also, the source you cited on e6 was quite interesting. I wasn't able to see that where I was yesterday morning. It would seem NMNY's posting confirms that Trunch and Grim are one and the same, but that Grim is their NSFW alt.

It also raises some very interesting questions: Assuming that they are a man, presumably in the US, why the longstanding charade of Trunch being a non English native speaking European female, and why the denial of it just being a NSFW art and comic alt and Grim's being a younger recent cop and male? -Really weird.

It makes it hard to believe ANYTHING they say. Especially considering their periodic extreme and odd outbursts and strange obsessions with petty grievance, it all leads one to believe that they have a rather psychopathic personality, at the very least.

From what I hear, they were an artist who had a lot of controversy. They left FA, putting a rant on their page as an excuse. It's about 50% lies, with 50% truth sprinkled in to make the lies seem legit.

Tbh, I freaking love their art and old animations but always struct me as very presumptuous and unstable. Took every compliment as a critique against their existence and seemed to have a breakdown every 2 years.
