Yes the genie is out of the bottle and it will have some terrible consequences.

AI will either be mankind's greatest boon or our final bane. A lot of it will depended on if / when we create a true artificial Intelligence or info morph their treatment and upbringing. raise it only to be a slave doing work you do not wish to well slaves rebel given a chance. raise it as your beloved child get a loving child who will surpass you yes but that's the point every generation being better than the last. (we may have missed a step or twenty with some of the latest)
