Story Length Question
So I’ve written a lot of longer stories lately, including a novella, and I’ve been wondering how long is >too long< for a single submission.
The novella sits at 25k, and I knew that would be way too much for one sitting, so I’ve cracked that into 3 parts.
But in general, what’s the length you look for? If you see something too long, like 15k words, do you dash away? Or do you not care?
For example, would you rather have a story with two knotty (heh) scenes broken into two parts, so you can hop from one and then to the other when you get the chance? Or would you rather have the whole thing in one place?

Breaking up the story into scenes (or plot and scenes) is a good idea in my opinion, where it works.
I got like no day job stuff done XD
if you are concerned about people not wanting to read very long i suggest just breaking it up into chapters and upload 1 each week, then you spread it out and you might have a higher chance to "hook" readers that might find a 10k read scary
