Hiatus still continues, but doing better :D
2 years ago
So I'm still continuing the hiatus until I'm more healed, but I'm doing much better compared to even just a couple months ago. I got the wound stitched up, not fully, but somewhat. And it's getting soooooo close to healing fully but not yet, probably a few more weeks left before it's fully closed. But I have started drawing again and trying to get back into it, but my butt still hurts after sitting for a while, but that'll hopefully get better once the wound is healed. But the main reason this all happened was because I found out that I have diabetes, and because my blood sugar was apparently so high, that's how I got the infection. But since getting my blood sugar under control and changing my diet, I'm healing much faster. Also did you guys know that type 1.5 exists? Cause I didn't, but I got it. Basically it's like type 1, where I was born with it, but this type doesn't show up until adulthood, and it has both qualities of type 1 and type 2, and its treated like type 2. But it all comes from genetics and apparently its also got the name LADA, which means Latent autoimmune diabetes in adults, and is a slow-progressing form of autoimmune diabetes. The doctors apparently have to do a special test on certain antibodies to know if it's type 1.5 or type 2, which is how they found out I have it. Also unlike type 1, I can go a long time before needing insulin, so when I got the infection is when my body finally needed the insulin but I had no idea cause they don't test for that stuff like they do type 1 or type 2. Sooooooo apparently I have a rare form of diabetes, but hey that just means i'm super special :P xD but I've taken time to accept it, and I have all the meds I need to stay healthy and still live and full life, which is good cause me and hubby only been married 3 years, I need more time to be able to annoy him more xD xD <3

Oh dear. I have Type 2 and it's a right pain in my ass. I think mine is also genetic since both my parents have it, my dad's surviving older brother has it and my grandpa on my dad's side at the VERY least had it. I'm so glad to hear you're doing better though. You and the hubby deserve many more years of tormenting each other. Cos that's the fun part about being the wife. >:]
