Another little Serenity Base Update

As something of a serious writer (or so I’d hope to call myself) often I find myself telling too much of a story with Serenity Base and not writing enough Gameshow. One of the next games I have in mind will be more weighted towards story and less towards game. For I’ve kinda had a little bit of character progression in mind since I started this episode and I think now is the time to let that play out. So for this game gunge is going to take a backseat though I’m going to make up for that in the one that follows. And the one that comes before. So I hope you will forgive me a little less mess in exchange for a bit more prose.

I think balance is good. If you focus too much on the gameshow aspects, and the resulting gunge and messes, it looses its impact. Getting into some depth with the characters, how they came to be in this situation, the emotions and disposition going through them and the relationships they are building would be interesting. Plus having a better connection to the characters would make the resulting gunge that much more impactful.

Glad to hear we are of the same mind on this. It can’t all be slippery stuff being sprayed everywhere. Just most of it lol
