I’ve never been the most social kinda person. It’s not one of my strengths to effortless start a conversation or get to know someone. That’s definitely how it goes with my neighbours, I’ll say hi to them in passing, follow up a conversation. So I was surprised to get an invite over to my new neighbours to see their newborn baby, given we’ve barely exchanged a dozen words. Still, it was an opportunity to get out of my shell a little. While I didn’t stay long, the ice was broken and I got a blanket invite to drop round whenever I like. Something I’m going to, well, not take advantage of. That sounds like overstaying my welcome. But avail myself of for sure. I think it will be good for me.
