~( ´(00)`) ✨ getting over my first covid infection
2 years ago
General
I'm finally recovering and feeling like a person again after testing positive Sunday morning... I've had it in my mind to try to draw many times (did manage a few hours on your comm Thae!! ;;) but have been too in pain, miserable and exhausted to even stand up... It's been real brutal. I neeeeever want this again.
I've never been sick for such an unrelenting duration, it's been unlike anything else... I think my IIH definitely exacerbated some symptoms too... advil + tylenol have really saved my sanity in this
But I've got my cognitive abilities back online after a solid 3 days of feeling like I was basically a zombie lol so I'll be able to resume work on commissions which I'm looking forward to, it is no fun not being able to accomplish anything at all for days x_x
Sorry for the delay, blame the idiot who went to the grocery store unmasked + sick and got my partner sick!!

I caught it earlier in the pandemic, and yeah, it put me down hard for about a week, but there was like... 2 days where I was a mess, like... worst chills of my life, and I was like... straight up hallucinating... was rough...
Added fun of, it happened after I had JUST got the booster... so my immune system was going apeshit...
I am back on monday and hope you can enjoy your time too and that you will have more luck in the future. I know we have hard time.
I stocked up and prepared for covid-pocalypse before I got sick, so I had those drinks and all kinds of stuff! helped so much. good advice!
But hey, once you experienced it...and suffered it, the body can naturally create AntiBodies against it and be stronger!
Still, sorry you had to experience it at all, I think I caught it after going to Vegas Last Year, it SUUUUUCKS.
But good to hear ya recovering
And yeah that's how I've kept positive at all these past 4 days, that it hopefully will never be this bad again. ;;
I'm sorry it hit you and I hope it doesn't leave long lasting impacts on you
My mom and I got COVID in mid December of 2019,she went to the hospital for breathing and heart complications while I took benadryl and slept with a heavy blanket and my thermostat turned to max.
I bought a plague doctor mask I filled with rags and coffee filters in January of 2020 and wear it everywhere I went while refusing to share smoking implements or spend time indoors with any person who would not wear a mask.
Got the vaccine first chance I could get it.
My mom watched CNN and fox so called news and did none of these things...she died a few months later.
I now find myself hoping anyone who refused mask and get the vaccine or take any safety precautions whatsoever, dies gasping for air....and hating myself for wanting them to suffer
So effing true.
Thank you...I hope you never have a reason to feel the hate and rage I feel towards family members like I currently feel.
