I wish for you . . . you know I do . . . when I’m wishing on a star . . .
I think I am giving up on Krita; it is a nice program with good features but one key feature I use in my drawings is not intuitive to use in the program. Thankfully Clip Studio Paint offered a perpetual license for their 2.0 version so looks like I will be sticking with that.
FA+

csp is the best for FAST WORK, SPECIALLY SEQUENTIAL WORK, but, personally i think SAI PAINT TOOL is way better than csp for basic and to the point illustration (sai´s shine layer mode allows you to create the best shines and lighting effects i have seen on digital art) and the ability to create custom brushes is epic and perfect, you can create the brushes you want, csp is barely starting to allow such customize freedom.
csp is focused on speed of work, i mean, their new a.i. shading system literally saves lots of worktime, which you can use to make more pics or pages in less time.
to finish, for me, these are the best digital art softwares and why
SAI PAINT TOOL, if you are going to make illustrations only, sai is the best, easy to use, friendly to use, and the layer modes are amazing. also, sai has the best pen stabilization system i have ever used, even better than csp's. sai's pen stabilization tool is like having LAZY NEZUMI PRO already installed and working all the time, for inking and final lineart, epic.
CLIP STUDIO PAINT, for professionals, artists that draw daily, artists with a deadline, csp is about workflow speed, work well, work fast, and now that the one payment deal is back, then yeah, if you already own it, keep it.
SKETCHBOOK PRO, for sketching and basic illustration, yes, you can make very complex and amazing works there, but sketchbook pro is aimed at artists that work fast and easy works, but want professional results.
sorry if too long, it is hard to find artists that talk about the software they use.
