Weeelp... RIP FA
Seeing the new policy changes, FA is about to explode something fierce.
It's a shame, already seeing MANY artist I follow/love whom have small (adult) characters leaving and being affected, not much to do but watch the meltdown.
I feel bad for everyone with digimon/pokemon on characters, also what about Kobolds? It's so damn stupid.
Not too mention, this is kind of a dick move for short people... Like, let's say a furry is like 3 feet or such, they can be "perceived" as young but are well adults, well FA is like nope change and tall or you'll b banned for being underage.
When that fursona's owner, is an actual small person whom are 3 feet or such IRL whom wanted their sona to match them, well screw em right? That's a bit far and I doubt it'll be THAT extreme but regardless...
It's a shame... I've been here since 2006, those were golden years of FA and now it's so dark and corrupted with this BS.
I'll be dusting off other accounts and the such, will make a journal with where all else to find me if needed.
I am NOT leaving FA (yet) so don't worry, will still be posting art and following and all that jazz.
Yes, FA said they are basically doing this with the "best intensions" but as Alan Grant said in JP3:
"Some of the worst things imaginable have been done with the best intentions."

Still, I can understand why you’re frustrated with this new rule.
Plus the rules are so vague, no one knows what "small" characters will get flagged for "Oh, they look young!"
I can only say not be so hasty in leaving, but the choice is yours in the end.
This will indeed be a huge hit for FA.
Has anyone tested this with the mods? In their recent journal, they did mentioned if anyone has questions about their fursona/artworks/theme characters is allowed or not allowed under the new rules to send out a trouble ticket to verify with them. Have you heard of anyone doing that from their side?
Yeah the "small" part is a bit odd, maybe a wrong meaning of definition?? Or maybe a too literally statement?
Not as far as I know yet, sadly most are more prone to jump ship before anything. :/
Just watching to see how things turn out but wanna make sure any of my friends/follow who DO leave can keep track of me via a future journal.
This was just my take on the matter.
“The only thing that changed as of this update is our internal policy on Pokemon and Digimon. Pokemon and Digimon are now actionable, if presented as children, when they were not in the past.”
“Again, small or otherwise cute adults, Pokemon/Digimon or not, will not be removed unless they proportionally/anatomically represent a child.”
They are just sounding pathetically picky. Maybe most of us are safe? Because you can’t discriminate against a midget or dwarf.
Just it's the issue FA ALWAYS has... Vagueness, it burns them everytime, especially now.
Glad to see that some will be okay maybe, won't lie, did worry about you too at first. ^^;
I don't think it'll be enough to break FA though. FA is like a cockroach.. it's insanely resilient despite it's strictness on AUP. The real damage to it is coming from lack of being able to compete against the likes of Twitter due to the sheer low effort required on Twitter to upload there and get reactions.
FA has had vague rules that have affected others for some time now and even when called out they actually just wind up banning those who raise the alarm. No exodus for them.
It's a dark chapter for art, honestly because the very people who used to defend fiction vs reality have turned coat and are now perfectly fine with straight up banning artwork they find offensive.
Don't get me wrong I'm 100% against anything NSFW involving minors but this is like a farmer having an issue with milk and ranting about it while he milks a cow
