Yep another on my list of watched artists leaving because FA doesn't know how to make clear, easy to understand rules and makes uploading at all a risk. I hope you'll provide a link where you can be found if/when you do.

I agree, the rule is very vague. Nobody ever had any issues before. Once again a minority of users are trying to force their opinions on everyone.

They did edited the journal but yeah pretty dumb...Doesn't help with situations going on with artists like argon_vile n such.

IB is really controversial because it explicitly allows any sort of cub art and writing. since it's one of the few furry gallery sites that explicitly do (e621 being another one), many people into cub flock to it which makes a good chunk of its userbase. so understandably, a lot of furries including myself prefer to avoid it entirely due to that association.

That is pretty much my issue with IB as an option. I have a lot of small toony critter OCs and even toony forms of my OCs but they're all adult. If I end up moving my art to that site I risk the stigmatiam of people thinking my characters actually ARE something they're NOT. That's kind of what IB is known for after all.

Meanwhile Twitter/Mastoson I have major issues with political climate and tensions and the fact that art isn't the only focus. I've dealt with a fair share of drama on Twitter over retweeting characters with intersex anatomy and people felt the need to DM me to tell me they were offended which made me just lock my twitter instead.

if this policy does go through, FA going to be a minefield for people with chibi, toony, shortstack, femboy, etc. characters. how do the people running FA make these decisions not realizing they could be driving more people to the horrid cesspit that twitter is?

i didn't even know about some sites actually putting a policy on height like that. i know there was some that banned adult feral art and they all either got nowhere or drove themselves into the ground and vanished. (furrylife online lol)

so as for where to go, i'll just throw this in: i've switched to the fediverse and host my own server so my natural bias is maybe you look at that. other than that, i couldn't recommend anything else since that's all i use now.

mastodon is the most popular (a list of mastodon servers) but there's also calckey which adds a gallery plus organization features on top of posting (a list of calckey servers).

i will note that a major hurdle is that finding the right server for you may be quite difficult and the general learning curve can be quite hard to overcome at first. posting is more involved, but tbf it can't be much worse than FA. it is nice though that fediverse software all come with a content warning feature and people actually use it unlike on twitter.

in my experience, once you get past the learning curve, the experience is better than anything twitter could even have dreamed of. people are a lot more chill as many servers strongly discourage drama and block servers full of bad actors. people are especially chill with art and definitely quads, just remember to use the content warning feature for any NSFW art.

FLO was actually one of the ones that put restrictions on height along with the quadruped ban. There is no such thing as "child like" when it comes to body types or heights in reality though, and femboys regularly have small forms with little musculature while being consenting adults.

I'm 32 and half the size of my 13 year old nephew who is also a foot taller than me and plays football. Body type means jack when it comes to actual age.
