You should download all your art in computer and put this in other site, because furaffinity will shut down all cute art or diaper art in juin 1. You risk to lose all your work. You should contact lawer also for the person you talk about not to go to jail only because he done thing in your comic.

That's not what they're doing at all. They're getting rid of loli/chibi childlike characters engaging in Sexual/NSFW scenarios. I have zero problems with this.
My art, as its adult characters dont break this rule, and my regression art is never sexual so that's fine too.

its all "subjective proportions and shapes" nothing to do with age its how they are drawn. this includes scenes like clean diaper changes, regression, non private part transformation, bondage / change table straps , leaky diapers / watersports/ being wiped, overly done messy diapers, and "butt/crotch" poses. Its just that they haven't applied it equally to pokemon et al-- but are now.

Some countries have determined that Pokémon have no age and this are always adults but FA interprets it as "if they look like kids they are kids". FA's public explination doesn't go beyond that.

The nitty gritty is that it comes down to whomever reviews and decides that it is such a thing and you can have 7 different responses from 7 different mods. Its why its so upsetting. Its become an all or nothing and people are leaving in droves.


Gem rarely, if ever; draws Pokémon so it doesn't apply to her. Though regression is sexual out right no matter what according to most legal interpretations, especially if a "child- like body" is involved with the elements I talked about above.

With respect, I don't think regression has to be sexual...There's the classic Bojay image where the girl in her nightwear comes over and touches her mirror, then walks through it into another world... Where she is a diapered infant, and realizes the change, then cries as she realizes the mirror was one-way only, and now she can't go back to her bigger self. That's regression without sexuality, as I see it, but others may differ. The scene does start with her in a babydoll nightie and panties, so maybe, but the nightwear is not in and of itself sexual, IMHO.

I do agree with you that any regression done with another person and a sexual dynamic, if it includes any "adult play time" with someone who is no longer an adult mentally or physically (esp. physically) goes beyond wrong and IMHO, straight into squick territory. If the regressed looks like a child, they are one, and in my mind, that puts them off-limits.

I'd take no issue with someone taken from an adult body and in some way turned into a child... And then we see her (G rated view) being changed or fed or bathed or just playing with blocks or on a playground swing... That would be wholesome and cute, I think, done correctly. (How many Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck/Tom and Jerry cartoons had some adult character suddenly end up diapered? Baby Bottleneck, anyone?)

Star--with all the other work and stress you have on your shoulders, why don't you just have that character "take a sabbatical" from the story--like get a message that his parent is in the hospital, or whatever scenario you think would be appropriate, and he has to depart with basically an overnight bag and a credit card.

Then devise a similar character to take his place.

TV shows do this all. the. time.

There's no reason you should suffer because somebody else screwed up. Just replace the character.

That wouldn't work. He's the main bad guy with motive and backstory, truthfully he's not far off his final arc so to replace him now with a new entity would kill the story entirely. It would be better if I just recolour him into generic character and rename him marko instead of marellis or something like that. I did it once before with a different main character so I can def do it again, its just a shame marellis has been in the comic a LOT LOL

It's your decision and your story, of course, Star, but I feel that you could make some kind of twist, like this character is really another character in disguise, or he gets hit by a bus, or caught earlier than you were anticipating--I just really hate to think of all the time it would take to change the character in your story. Just give it a few minutes to consider it.

As for wanting to excise the memory of the human behind the character, I can understand your wanting to cancel him.

But there must be a creative way to fix this mess. Drop a safe on him or something! Have the character get arrested, and then reveal that he was in cahoots with--the new big baddie of the story. Or just have him go upstairs and never come back down.

The character probably should have been generic in the first place, if I can be honest. He was pretty despicable, and some of that contempt was bound to spill over to his creator.

I hope you'll entertain this idea for his replacement, though. Upon his introduction, you should write a little text box in that comic frame which reads "The part of Marellis will now be played by Brock Rockwell," or Evan Saint Jonathan, or some other pompous-sounding soap opera star name.

They do this stuff all the time in soap operas, thinking that people will just accept the new actor and forget about the old one, even though the new one doesn't look anything like the old one. Nobody short of a Greek statue has the same chiseled chin as Ron Moss, I tell you! Thorsten Kaye is a sad, sad substitute.

I suggest not to change the color, that Marellis continue the way it is (the character, I mean). Is like this debate of separating the art from the artist. On netflix there are series of really bad people here on my country (like "The Chapo") and even everyone now how bad he is... is like "oh, they even make art from "bad people".

I could technically keep marellis in the comic, he signed the disclaimer form to say it was ok to use his character...truth of the matter is though , I don't want him in my comic. Then you don't know much about writing. It would literally take maybe 2-3 pages to write out and replace the character without having to rework the entire future of the story

Missed this because FA's comment counter can be misleading. Anyway, you're the one who doesn't know much about writing, because you don't know what "integral" means.

You don't seem to get that the very act of having the established main character with plot-critical backstory suddenly leave and be replaced by some random new guy who isn't Star's longtime CO and tormentor and hasn't been built up as the main antagonist since the start of the comic would rework the entire future of the story. It would be like if Darth Vader died offscreen between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi and got replaced by some random new dark enforcer we'd never heard of.

Hardly a main character. Hardly the main antagonist. Horrible comparison.

Is it possible to keep the character the same fur color, and just add some new/different patterns to him? That way, you won't have to do a full recolor? Or is that just the easier path to go full recolor?

yeah i havent figured out quite what hes new colouring is going to be. but when I recoloured teca into tessa i just added some hair and changed her colour slightly, so it wasnt a huge change. ill probbaly adopt a similar approach

Well it's good to avoid a possible controversy. It's such a shame that a guy who played an exciting role in this comic has kind of taken the wrong end of the stick in real life. I think you're making the right choice. We've seen Teca transformed into Tessa. Hope no more characters have to be redrawn and recoloured. Sadly there are still printed editions with Marrelis, but that can't be helped.

I agree with you and I'm very torn about this. If it was literally just some rumours flying around I wouldn't be taking action like this, but I've seen the evidence to support that they have been indeed arrested and charged. Granted that hasnt gone to trial. I don't know if it even will or how long that'll take. I mean if they accept the charge I dont think it goes to trial

I've made it clear in the text above that they havent actually been found guilty, but being arrested and charged is enough for me, Part of me hopes that its all one big misunderstanding and that it'll be okay, but sadly the things that have come to light means I can't in all good faith have them in my comic any more.

Why is it that my favourite UK content creators always have someone tied to them that gets arrested?
First it was Stampy and LForLee.
A bunch of other smaller writers.
Now Marellis.

Take your time, find methods to make things flow well.

well marellis was on page 482 which was just over 10 pages ago so its great you've managed to ignore him but hes a main character in my current plotline so I cant just scrub him out and pretend he doesnt exist

For what it's worth you did a great job along the way with the story. Sometimes there's a dip in the road other times it's a asteroid impact zone. :7 you couldn't predict it so deep breaths!

it may be worth finding an artist you can trust and offering them some money to help genericize the character

or otherwise, just go through the text and change his name in all the pages for a quick scrub, and then you can take your time with modifying the design

I don't really know what happened but maybe put new pages on hold.
Focus on making the alterations until you feel comfortable and happy so you don't burn out and end up a frazzled star. Especially with all the current things your doing. (Honestly don't know how you do it all)
Also I know you have lots of fans and close friends to talk to but I'm always happy to be an ear to vent to if ever needed.

You can work through it, all the time I've been watching you've been resilient.

The idea of using someone else's characters to populate a comic always struck me as a bit of a headache for these exact reasons. ^^;

I hope it's not too much work to do the edits. Thankfully it's just recolours since the old character isn't a super unique design. Hope it goes quick!

The worst part is definitely going to be the re-upload, since this site isn't super easy to use for mass uploading/editing.
