I think the intention of what they wanted to do has been woefully misconstrued, and they're working on clarifying it to make it legible, but a lot of people have deplatform PTSD and the time they need to get everyone's stories straight are giving heated opinions a chance to fester and run off with our expectations. I feel like everything will be addressed sooner or later, just everyone being in a rush to make a stand in a journal is making it harder to feel like you've got over a month for them to fix this.

Considering Argonvile's Journal https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10553034/ shows a lot of characters with pretty similar proportions to my own being disallowed, including Yoshis and Koopas, I feel like my worries are pretty well justified.

Regardless I don't expect this change to be the last one either and I'd rather be prepared and have as many people as possible following me in other places when the site seems so eager to shoot itself in the foot every couple years.

According to my sources, that response was the result of one hand not knowing what the other's doing in the staffing and rules relaying. I think that kicked off so many angry promises to leave that they realized there was a problem and are now walking back the wording. I'm keeping my ears open for some solid answers!

I started an Itaku a while ago. It could definitely get traction if more people are active on it. They improved the filter for content so that helps.

Eka's is pretty straightforward once you figure where to send the request for a gallery. IB is the place that seems to be the second most active, but like you said FA is where most of the commenters are.

And don't get me started on E621... The comments are putrid and the type of stuff we like gets downvoted to oblivion.

Yeah I'm honestly happiest with IB or Ekas because they seem to be the most laissez-faire when it comes to what can or cannot be posted. I find it a lot easier scrolling past or blacklisting things I don't like than trying to dodge weird ass arbitrary restrictions when posting the things I do. E6 is also great for that but then yeah, the comments are all the opposite of what I like. There's a reason I post that "Creepy Comments Welcome!" thing on every pic I post :P.
Downvotes and negative comments are fine I can have a giggle, it's just that no one can write a hot fucking essay of a comment like Fnar777 or even shorter horny thought sharing without getting a fuckin' mod warning lmao.

Never heard of Itaku, will look into that I guess, but I think my first step is going to be getting an Ekas and the second will be posting all new pics here as thumbnails with "FOLLOW ME ELSEWHERE I MISS U ;~;" and links to the full on Ekas, IB, and twitter.

To be fair I did burst into laughter the last time I looked at a comment on my art on E6 XD

I simply had to send a DM to Eka herself (link to do so is in their FAQ) and she very quickly created a gallery for me. Other than that is just getting used to the upload UI, which is admittedly a bit clunky.

I went ahead and started posting stuff on SoFurry as few people recommended me to do so.
Edit: Didn't want to upload stuff on InkBunny since I don't really like that site.

I like IB's look and the ability to upload multiple images per submissions a lot! also the community being able to submit tags to be added to pics is nice. but fair enough ofc!)

Eka's is probably the best place to go. Youll have to DM leshana I think and ask foe gallery permissions, I think thats how it works. I really like eka's tag system, and how gallery folder's work. Youll do great there.

You should be able to no problem. I've been posting everything, non-vore included, for a long time. Can even upload video files there too.

There's cohost, which allows adult content and has per post comments. I personally have an AD cohost but haven't been using it. Until now, that is.

It'd certainly be a shame if they (FA's staff) decided to 'get rid' of art of characters like yours, imo.

But whatever they'll do, I am actually most curious about what the reasons are that make them apply these changes. I somehow suspect (potential) legal issues to be the source of this, but then again FA staff unfortunately has been known to be hypocritical and act arbitrarily. :/

Agreed, and honestly from things like https://twitter.com/echoenbatbat/st.....71622839189504 it feels like it really is just some misguided attempt to combat the "1000 year old loli vampire" trope as they said in their announcement, taken way too far by someone who thinks body proportions are the be all end all as far as deciding whether a character counts as a child or not.

I would suggest making a Telegram Channel too. a lot of furs on here have a telegram channels for their art including myself. it's another great way to post art and interact with the fans.

Telegram/Discord is nice for hanging out with folks for sure but I sort of hate it as an art platform, I'd like something where the content is searchable and stuff yah know?

well the way I do it on Telegram is put tags under each pic once I post it on the channel. so you can literally click or type in a tag and find a specific pic.
