Correction: They've "further clarified". They haven't said they're not going to proceed to do precisely that anyway even though the entire community rose up all at once and shouted "Bullshit!"

This is because the purity trolls failed to get all of the accounts they had vendettas against banned the first time around. And mark my words: They'll expand their definitions to include even more material again.

I'm not into cub content, but I fully support the rights of artists to explore and depict pretty much whatever fantasy they want. As long as the artist isn't directly harming or promoting real world harm, what is the point? Applying real world logic to fantasy is messy and pointless, it's like saying violent video games cause crime.

No one worth listening to is going to defend real life child abuse, but its weird to draw such a vague line that it impacts so many artists who in many cases specifically did not draw art depicting underage characters. The more cartoonish someone's style, the harder this line is to distinguish. Some fully adult characters have smaller proportions. Anything could be offensive to someone who is sensitive enough.

Again, not trying to defend CP. But animal abuse is also taboo and yet they aren't pushing against depictions of feral characters? What's the difference between justifying "1,000 year old" lolis and "intelligent" non-anthro characters? Neither exist IRL, the closest examples would be illegal and immoral.

Why stop there, what of art depicting violence, murder, or rape?

It's ridiculous. I'd love to hear the reasoning why anything resembling "adolescent animals" in sexual/fetish oriented situations is bad, but grown animals are A-okay. Sounds like an endorsement of animal abuse to me, assuming the perceived underage part of it is so problematic that anything that could be misconstrued as underage is ban worthy.

excuse me, but... "intelligent" non-anthro characters do exist in the world, they are known as the often violent creatures called Cryptids. they are 100% real creatures, that you should hope you never encounter. 1 such group of these is found in Palmyra, Maine, USA, and are known as a pack of massive, 7ft+ tall bipedal wolves that live in the woods connected to a farmstead.

"no proof"? what do you mean? tell that to the 2nd story windows on the farmhouse where their are long gashes in the strong wood there, showing signs something with huge claws was scratching, trying to get in to harm those within the house. there is even a video showing said evidence and talking about them.

This argument right here. I also have no interest in CP, but I honestly see absolutely no harm in someone drawing it. The exact same thought process can be applied to vore. Vore is probably unlikely to get banned since Dragoneer likes that kink a lot. Not a single fucking person in their right mind would ever attempt vore in real life, but it's perfectly fine to draw and write about it, because it's just a harmless fantasy.

So if it's perfectly acceptable for one kink that's forbidden in real life to be freely explored on FA, why is another completely banned? It makes no logical sense to me.

Now some might ask, "if you have no interest in this kink, why defend it?" The reason is simple. If we accept this, how far will it go? We can all see already that "No CP" wasn't good enough for FA, now they are banning more and more and more. I don't blame anyone for abandoning a sinking ship. If nobody takes a stand, then these restrictions will only escalate until there is no creativity left on this site.

very true. i have no art in my gallery to warrant any such thing, if they even dared to look, but this attacking innocent users over personal opinion differences is just not right to do. personal preferences are something that should fall under US Constitution and it's protection, given to all. who come here. and for admins/moderators to openly mock it? if I were in control I would charge the mods with some form of treason, should it fit the bill. but i'm not so they shouldn't think they are in jeopardy, and attack me for my 4th Amendment rights. i'm entitled to my opinions and ideas, and they are entitled to their own, but they cannot force me to be silent.

Banning me over petty stuff would likely end in their own termination from FA, and possibly legal prosecution as i would start with a defamation of character claim. just saying. putting it out there as a promise that i will take what little power i'm allowed to have and fight back.
