Policy Updates...
You know, back when this happened the for the third time, I think? (It was centered on Sonic characters that time.) I posted a simple diagram and asked the question "Which one of these figures doesn't fall under guidelines and what additions can I add OR subtract to better follow the rules?"
I basically got a catch all corporate response, which was "ALL ART WILL BE JUDGED ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS."
I'm a bit worried about my Easter Bunny characters and where they fall on this hypothetical chart.

FA is more and more turning into just a listing of people's Patreons, offsite links and streaming shows.
Yeah I dunno what to do about that.
The artist is on Twitter and called Guftrup
There's a blatant sense of hypocrisy when the head admin has stuff up breaking his sites own rules, and has to be called out before he removes it. It gives more credit to the idea that the ruling is purposefully vague in order to allow personal bias to be involved in the decision making process rather then just being a catch all to cover their asses.
He might also be referring to the puritanical nature of this new change. Even characters blatantly above age can be rule breaking, and stuff that was sort of protected before (Pokemon and Digimon being form shifting creatures with no real way to tell their actual age)
TBH, I'm worried about my own fursona since he's a shortstack. Is he too 'childlike' for FA's standards? I don't really know.
Thee's this clarification here but it isn't specific enough I feel.
"Appended: Additional Clarification
Due to feedback we have received regarding this update, we are providing the following clarification on the changes that went live today.
- NO, there is no blanket ban across species.
- NO, there is no list of species that we will always take action on.
- YES, characters in your NSFW art must be aged up.
- NO, simply making something bigger or smaller does not indicate age.
- We look at anatomy proportionally alongside other context in submissions.
There is also some confusion as to the extent of the changes that went live today. Section 2.7 of the Upload Policy has been in effect for many months with its current wording. The only thing that changed as of this update is our internal policy on Pokemon and Digimon. Pokemon and Digimon are now actionable, if presented as children, when they were not in the past.
Again, small or otherwise cute adults, Pokemon/Digimon or not, will not be removed unless they proportionally/anatomically represent a child.
I think we need to push FA to be more and MORE specific.
Last time, it was the credit companies that process the payment for server space who were satisfied. I'm wondering whose being satisfied now? Are there still financial issues going on?
It's purposefully vague to put way too much power into individual admins.
Saves them doing actual work and making a proper ruling.
Last time I checked though, this was more for Digimon and Pokemon, but that slider always seem to start slipping towards everything else.
And as much as I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, part of me believes that they added the 'send in a trouble ticket to confirm if your stuff is fine!' bit just to get people to accidentally get their stuff checked and flagged by the admins.
Because my worry is that without such a baseline, this can be abused as the rule is a "1 suspension and the only warning" thing.
My issue is that I don't trust FA's judgement and I don't think other people do, either. So it basically goes down to whatever mod you end up getting crosswise who will take down your stuff based on whether or not they like you that particular day, and someone else's literally loli-bait character is going to stay up because some mod or other doesn't think the obvious is obvious.
It's frustrating
They're hiding the goal of sanitization by pulling a "we're just trying to get rid of evil. you wouldn't wanna side with EVIL right?!" while they slowly creep in and remove more stuff.
If it keeps up, ten years from now, NSFW will basically be banned from the site because this rule on itself can expand to nearly everything related. All they'll need to do is shift it again with some wording such as "to help keep cub porn and child porn off the site, we've found the best route is to ensure that media intentionally intended for children need to be banned from sexual situations" and boom.
People should be protesting at this point as they're attacking artistic choice while hiding behind 'we gotta protekt da kidz!'
So you should be worried. That "catch all" outright tells you "we're gonna be biased as fuck and you better hope none of us dislike your art".
I'd suggest twitter, or less so weasyl. Weasyl seems to be dead or just filled to the brim with really spammy crap, so not exactly showing themselves on a great foot.
