'Twas fun while it lasted

I was a fool to think I would be welcome to return to posting regularly on this website. Now, my artwork falls under the "looks like a minor" policy update, which is absurd, narrow-minded, and is only going to increase the ever-growing hate that has been building over the past few years. We've seen people attacking feral nsfw over and over, now FA itself has decided to strike down anyone that draws characters such as Mew, and probably Shaymin. This isn't just going to change the community, it's going to force people to change their art styles, it's going to ruin people's creativity, it's going to destroy the community's diversity.
You're trying to stop something that you already have the means to put a stop to yourselves - by reading your report tickets, by looking into the cases like a real team should. But even then, you would just judge based on your own opinions. Every attempt to put logic into this centers it back to the truth - you have invited into your team people who are awful judges of character, people who are elitist, narrow minded, people who are poisoning this community.
This website has fallen to ruin, and I refuse to let people imply I am a terrible person for drawing something that they think is an underage character just because it looks cute. I will keep drawing Mew, and I will keep drawing Shaymin, they are not children, they're just small. Banning me for drawing these characters is indirectly suggesting I would do terrible IRL things, and in doing so, you are helping the vocal minority. If I cannot post them here, I will post them elsewhere.
This website has been through some rough times, but I always thought it would still be here to welcome me back every time I remember to post something here. Now I just feel disgusted at the thought of posting here, knowing that this website has given a voice to narrow-minded elitist jerks.
I will be targeted eventually, and I will be forced to take down my artwork that they think is breaking the rules, otherwise, my only other place to go when Twitter collapses will just simply not be here. And even then, I am here because I have nowhere better to be.
So, what's the next step? Ban feral nsfw because it's "promoting bad IRL practices IRL"? You have no right doing this to a website that has existed in the community longer than you have.
That's all I have to say. I probably got too mad whilst writing this, but I think it's justified.

FA+

This whole situation (i.e. poisoning) is a perfect example of the tolerance paradox. We let them slowly inch forward and now everyone else's back is to the sea and they're trying to push more people off the pier. It doesn't take a genius to notice the pattern of stuff like Paypal's hate-on for porn in general.
It's also stupid that a ban against uploading images includes also a ban against viewing them, discussions, even looking at your own damn notes.
Also I'd like to stress these sites are mostly for adults, but NONE of these people are acting like adults. They're acting like how kindergarteners act when they need to tattle tale that a kid is standing where he isn't supposed to be and expecting the teacher to punish him.... Nothing about this rule shows adult behavior....
Which sucks. They consider anything shortstack, or chibi like now forbidden. That includes pokemon, my artwork, and mimiga.
Given my sona is a mimiga, I'm already making preparations to move.
Don't change your art style. Just prepare to whatever site you choose to save your work to. I'll follow your artwork either way.
Let FA go broke with this vague as hell rule change.
Better than letting FA hold the community hostage with their vague rules.
Yeah, this definitely looks like they're using it all as an excuse to basically attack any and all kinks. I hate cub, but these witch hunters just use it as a coverup.
Just like grade school, banning folks for being the victims, yep.
It's frustrating, but shouldn't let us get down. We don't need to fight, don't need to address the admins. We just need to show ourselves the door and find somewhere else or make our own establishment. and if these harassers follow us, Remember...they're over 18 and acting this immature, so you can imagine what they do to actual kids.... thus even if a person claims to be over 18....if they ACT immature like they're still in primary school, I'll personally ban them. None of us are here for that.
They'll find out that without a community supporting them financially, they'll go broke. FA isn't the only site competing for traffic.
Good idea. Lately been seeing on Twitter, groups of UA users organizing witch hunts to basically shut us down.
Ban them the moment they show up on telegram or Discord groups. Their lack of mental restraint would be a decent indicator they're probably UA and need a kick.
Yeah, the whole witchhunt thing is why the FBI and other police organizations aren't interested in this pettyness. Heck one kid told me that the cops were called on them and they didn't do anything to the kid or anyone involved. It's gotten so silly that if there's any real danger, no one would know because of all the false positive reports they get. Thus the best thing to do is just protect yourself and pay no mind to other people and avoid bringing that kind of attention to your page. I have personally seen people get their accounts banned because then they suspected someone of being a minor on their page and said terrible things, the kid reported them for harassment and got them banned (and likely reported). I know cause later they made a tweet saying "Be careful what you say to kids....almost lost my account for good...." So like I said....grown ups shouldn't be bringing this attention to their profiles. It just ends up being a red flag to the authorities that actual child abuse is going on when they mention it on their pages.
All these reactionary witch hunts, and false positive reports are going to distract people from real dangers of IRL sexual predators.
People are going to ignore/be ignored when it involves an actual case of SA.
The FBI has bigger priorities than sitting down and arguing with someone who has an anime profile pic about if "Snivy fetish art is legally CP."
Good convo though. Feels good to just let off some steam about this. I already vowed to never upload to this forsaken site again but I'll stick to that. It won't stop me from drawing though. I still draw every day.
By their logic a chihuahua and fennec fox is a kid.
The ONLY point of this rule is to appease the most insecure artists on this site who want to make furry art communities into fascist sites where only VERY particular styles are allowed, and given the nature of this change, I genuinely think that they're just using "Drawing underage characters" as a front to push this witch hunt because they feel the greater community will agree without question cause of what it involves. The problem is.... these are the same kinds of people who go out of their way to LOOK for minors on sites like twitter to bully and harass posting memes about killing them for looking at their art and other heavily abusive content. So now that this effect is in place, it almost feels karmatic that the people who REALLY want to make the furry fandom look like it's filled with pedophiles have turned thier microphones up to 11. Very few people are, so I really don't understand why SO many people on sites like this make it thier mission to make people into them to satisfy thier accusations...
Anyway I do agree that this site's recent ruling is targeted against chibi styles and it's just not right.
No matter it's subject matter, it doesn't have to be looked at if you don't like it; maybe you'll run across it by accident once or twice, get over it. :P
There's far too much real horror in the world to fret about lines and colours and folks imaginations no matter if they're pure and innocent or horrifically depraved.
It's bloomin' fantasy. That's the point. =>.<=
Maybe it's getting time I finally started using one of the other sites out there more. I've resisted it mostly due to time and knowing I'd want to keep up with both then, but meh. :V
Sometimes I find fights about "questionable art" very useless because most of the times both artists and haters agree on what's wrong IRL. The big problem is that instead of helping people to understand fiction, or what the artist truly wants to share, seems that are the artists the ones who need to do adapt to the rest of the people and the way these people think to avoid confusion. So yeah, if people who don't know anything about Mew say you shouldn't draw it like that, they're absolutely right and you must regret what you did :p
