A week ago I lost my mom due to a hope to soon be discovered medical condition. She started having really bad seizures and was treated for a week at the local hospital and released. Two weeks later she started the beginning stages of another seizure and was rushed back to the local hospital and they immediately airlifted her to the neurological unit at U of I hospital in Iowa city. She was on such a severe high dosage of anti seizing meds that her body just couldn't go on further and she had a DNR. I keep having times I break down and im just not mentally myself. Been trying to take care of my dad and helping my sister get things done at home. It has been very challenging as I was really close with my mom and this is a very large loss, as with any family member. If I ever get emotional or just a bit off putting, I just need a hug and support. I have been having a rough time dealing with things but I have been trying to stay busy and focused.
