FA Alternatives for Pokemon Content
Due to the new rules I suspect I might need to remove a good amount of my stuff, so what are the best/favored alternative sites for posting pokemon content?

Realistically? As far as I know, it's Inkbunny. That's really the irony here: Whether it's a good moral or ethical decision on the part of the artists, this alleged attempt to "protect children" is going to drive traffic to IB. People might blacklist all the cub keywords, but it's really one of the only sites that has any competitive amount of traffic to FA, I think.

SoFurry is actually a rather nice site.

You do some absolutely top-tier work so I hope none of it becomes lost media, whether it's Pokemon or small characters like Rocket. I don't think FA is going to change so I hope you can find a better place for your artwork. Other sites you can use include Inkbunny (https://inkbunny.net/) , SoFurry (https://www.sofurry.com/) and Weasyl (https://www.weasyl.com/). Postybirb ( https://www.postybirb.com/ ) can make it easier to upload art multiple places. Hopefully everyone can move their art so it doesn't get lost.

Thanks, I'm hoping not. I'll have to check out SoFurry and Weasyl. I probably shouldn't worry about it and just use it, but Postbirb always sketched me out for some reason.

I recommend making use of Postybirb and setting up uploads to multiple other sites. IB is the largest but has a reasonable stigma behind it. Sofurry, Itaku, Cohost, Artconomy and whatever microblog (Twitter, Pillowfort, Mastodon, etc) you like are all good options too.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm looking into Itaku now. It seems pretty neat, but obviously doesn't have the traffic of SoFurry, and IB yet.

Sofurry also allows cub content - while also allowing human content. It also has a blacklisting feature, though.

Weasyl is pretty good. In fairness, I'll let you know they have a similar rule as the one just now implemented, with the one caveat that specifically says that "we take cannon into consideration" aka context matters. I can certainly find plenty of stuff there that would be banned under the current new rules here.

Inkbunny, SoFurry and E621 are the only truly active sites - any others are basically ghost towns or still starting up so the jury's out on whether they'll gain any popularity.

I really doubt it's going to be a problem for much of your work. There's a bunch of people still angry FA banned cub art back in 2010 that're still throwing a fearmongering tizzy about this loophole being closed and it's... Generally not something I'd worry about too much tbh.

You do realize that was fourteen years ago right. Most of the users here weren't old enough to even use the website let alone have an account or remember what it was like then. No, people are mad because they literally just banned all depictions of Eevee and other canonically small bodied characters claiming it's cub porn. How the fuck do you decide "all agumon are children unless you draw them in a noncannon way". That lizard is creepy as hell

I hear things about Inkbunny (it at least features blacklisting tags), SoFurry, and Itaku (even if Itaku is rather new)

I'll be posting to Inkbunny; Itaku; and Weasyl, personally.

Inkbunny. It has every single feature we have asked fa for for years. You can group submissions, you can post super high resolution, you can block tags with a blacklist, you can post shortstack without some dumbass mod banning you

Your artwork is probably fine as you have more "mature" features in your Pokemon. Though to maintain the same level as traffic as you do with FurAffinity you'd have to switch to Inkbunny. Which is a site that more or less promotes cub pornography as long as it's tagged correctly. Encouraging people to live out their dark fantasies through media rather than in real life for sexually assaulting a 5 year old.

ah yes Moral Overindulgence ;.;. damn I love your pokemon content. but I agree with the other InkBunny, also InkBunny has a functioning blacklisting and tagging system though I have not been on SoFurry in a long time so I dont know there.
