[Very emotional, and tired so this will likely be an unedited mess]

To catch folks up on where I've been and why I haven't offered commissions the last couple months. In April I took a bunch of larger commissions and was very excited about a lot of the offers I'd gotten so I decided to take a lot of them and stretch them through April and May. I did not do a good job pacing my selections so they all took a bit longer then I expected between those and patreon work. I also spent a lot of time getting ready for my bf visiting in June. This was a big deal for a lot of reasons, the big one being that we hadn't seen each other in a long time and the vacation turned out great. It was basically perfect from beginning to end. Wouldn't change it for the world. I was feeling super refreshed and excited to get back to commissions and subscriber art and streaming.

On the last full day they were there we noticed the hot water was a little murky, I looked it up and it was indication that the tank should be replaced. So I was keeping an eye on it and after a little bit the hot water started running clear again. So I booked a consultation with a couple plumbers/water tank companies to come take a look the next day. The next day I took my bf to the airport, and as I'm sure anyone in a LDR can attest, the goodbye days are rough already emotionally. So I went home, got the consultation, guy came, checked things, still all seemed fine and dry and he gave me a real rough quote. The tank is a weird and very specific size so it needs to be special ordered and will probably be around 2k. So they left and I talked another company and they had a similar quote but both were not set in stone because of the special order, and said they'd get back to me the next day (Friday/Today) with the final price and schedule options etc. Tonight around 3:00-3:30AM less than 24 hours after I had to say goodbye to my bf, and less than 12 hours after getting TWO consultations about replacing my hot water tank, it burst. I was (fortunately) awake at the time, so I think I caught it fairly quickly but there was still a lot of water that I couldn't clean up and it leaked a ton and caused some serious damage to my neighbors place and a little to mine.

Several months ago, some of my neighbors had had issues with their hot water tank, it caused them a bunch of problems and they had to leave their home for months for it to be repaired. My hot water tank was well passed the life expectancy so I'd been saving up what I could to replace it, but $2,250 is a ton to drop suddenly, and that's JUST for the tank replacement. I now will also have to figure out how much damages cost when they come to do repairs (hopefully) Monday.

I hope it's not extensive, but it's possible I have to leave my house for an extended period of time. I have insurance but I don't know how much or if they'll cover any of this damage. Point is, I'm very scared and stressed and all the recharging and energy I'd gained from my vacation has been fully shot and expended all in the course of like 18 hours.

Because of the time off, commission delays and now this HUGE expense, I need to make quite a bit of extra money over the next couple months. So I'm opening some emergency commissions, I'm going to be taking as many as I can comfortably, and any tips on them would be hugely, hugely appreciate but is not expected.
