I will just change the image file to a censored edit just to maintain the FA post. All my art is also posted on E621 and my telegram channel, so no art will be lost. The editted pics will have a link to their E621 counterpart as well

I found out Zaush and Kabier got the axe under the "you aren't a good fit for the community" reasoning. Not for violating any existing rule or any of the new policy going live later on. So they seem to be doing a purge of the "unclean" for political reasons.

This rule will lead to mod abuse 100%, we are already seeing it in artists such as Argonvile and Dacad, they've drawn fanart with similar canon-like designs, that no sane person would see as cub/underaged, and they've gotten flagged for it by current mods.

The absolute inconsistency, blanket bans, and ridiculous grey area means it is absolutely unsafe for any fanart artist to make a living in this platform, specially if, like me, use FA as their main art hub.


I will simply not stay put and wait for a random picture from 2015 to flag me and get me suspended, or worse.

I will do my due diligence, move my gallery over, and reluctantly follow the new guidelines on my current gallery, for I don't want it wiped, nor I want to get banned, as I follow many artists here still.

False, I know several artists who have submitted their work to be reviewed and have been told no, despite the only change announced being that pokemon and digimon no longer get an exception. People who explicitly do not draw minors but have a chibi-like style or draw shortstacks, yordles, goblins, etc. A large portion of the fanart on the site falls afoul of the new extremely vague 'clarifications'. Enforcement has changed drastically despite assurances to the contrary.

They also used this as an excuse to ban many accounts they didn't like and people who were associated with them, some may have been warranted, but others are like print artists who worked with them before they knew the people who hired them were assholes.

Fuck pedophiles, but this shit is ridiculous. Congrats, you're protecting poor innocent Eevees from being drawn canonically accurately, but if you want to draw a feral chihuahua or other small breed of dog lewd, go for it. And make sure if you do draw minors, don't fetishize them unless you're drawing vore art for dragoneer or TF stuff for the rest of the staff. Pat yourself on the back, we're keeping pixels and lines on paper from being hosted on one website on the entire internet and fucking with the livelihoods of thousands of artists who call this their primary home in the process.

3. Promote everything in point 1 on competing websites.

4. Often engage in libel against the site, the owner and their staff, on the very site they're libeling.

5. Pay absolutely nothing to this site, except those who voluntarily purchase an FA+ account.

There are millions of registered accounts, many of which post their own art or commissions. Do a simple search for any of the banned species and you'll find a significant portion of the art is of that character drawn show-accurately which now falls foul of the policy. Eevee alone has over 14,000 adult rated pictures posted. I went through the first 75 pages (less than a third) of the most popular posts picking out an image from each artist who didn't comply (Age up the Eevee) and my list was already over 300 long before I gave up.

Its a massive jump to assume all of those artists do those things, what a completely unfair and pointless generalization. Even if it is true, do you believe a person has no value to FA unless they are paying for FA+ or viewing ads? Would this site have users, ads, or any reason to purchase FA+ if artists didn't host their galleries here? Is it not fair to ask for clear guidelines on what is or is not allowed?
