I'm honestly not sure about Weasyl either, I like the site but is it even actively maintained anymore? Seems like the lack of rules about NSFW content are more of an omission than a decision. I'm honestly expecting to wake up one morning to the site just being gone.

I just don't have the patience or mental stability to deal with a bunch of art sites anymore. If FA wants to ban me for posting cutesy stuff, that's just one less site I gotta worry about tbh. I'm getting too old for this shit anyways.

I feel the same way about weasyl, actually. Thinking one day the owner will randomly decide they want to delete it looms over me always. Since the owner themselves doesn't attend or use their own art site. The only one who does anything on there is Charmander.

I've always disliked twitter, and it never reached a big audience for me, either. It's too algorithm focused on specific topics, so my art didn't go anywhere. I wish that all the artists didn't move there all those years ago because I never saw their art even on twitter after their move. The things suggested by twitter are also so nasty.

Maybe at some point soon you should do a review journal of Itaku (and maybe other lesser-known sites that you use that might be worth a shot)? I remember about a year ago, right when I was considering Buzzy Art (and then it imploded over the course of like an hour lmao) you also mentioned Itaku briefly but it was brand new at the time. You seem to have a knack for communicating the pros and cons of various art sites.

This is definitely why I advocate for people having multiple sites and not putting all their eggs in one basket. I currently don't have any art galleries I feel all that confident in--FA worked out way better for me than I expected it would but my expectations for it were so low that Satan himself was stubbing his toes on them down in Hell, and we're all aware that Weasyl is a great site but there's really nobody at the helm.
If I didn't have some serious concerns about InkBunny I'd probably give it a try, it seems to have that "old fashioned" vibe that I am looking for, and it's kink/NSFW friendly... A little TOO friendly to those subjects at times. Also I get the feeling I'd get b& pretty quick for posting art of characters like Skunk Boy, because humanoid, even if the worst things I do with him are a soft PG-13.

I'm old enough to remember reading about the launch of Twitter in the newspaper. Seemed like a stupid idea back then, glad being a recluse and/or stubborn asshole saved me from ever engaging with the site.

Itaku
It's still a Fine Allrounder site. The moderators look like they intend to keep what they Can allow on the site open as long as it is within the laws of where the site is hosted. WHich, that's fine. I've been posting to it consistently, though the community I think is just small. I have not been paying very close attention other than upkeep, but It's a more comfortable environment than other new sites have been.

Inkbunny on Humans
They allow Human Characters in SFW situation, and allow Linking Out to NSFW of Human art by posting a cropped version and linking to wherever the full is hosted. NSFW meaning the Display of Genitalia/Intercourse. Human(oid)CHaracters wearing diapers is fine. Plus IB doesn't immediately Ban people for posting incorrectly by accident, and you can even ask them what exactly it is that happened.

Example THIS (18+/SNUFF) I just have a Censor Bar and Link out. and THIS (18+/NonCon/ANimated) Is SImply Cropped showing only their torso's and linked out. Theonly thing Needing anything in particular is if there are Bits and Sex.

I may need to look into both of these sites, as from the sound of it, Inkbunny is pretty stable and established, while Itaku is new enough to be a "strike while the iron is hot" sort of deal. I asked The Roommate his thoughts on both sites since he's one of the "watcher" types rather than an artist, he says he's never heard of Itaku but he does like Inkbunny and a lot of his favorite (babyfur) artists ended up migrating there in years past.
Of course, for me, it's more about just finding a generally stable place to host my art, I learned not to trust even the most established of art sites the hard way thanks to DeviantArt.

In all seriousness it's far from the only thing I do, I was also concerned about anything involving underwear, or just humans/humanoids in general, and whether or not my SFW cartoon shit would even be welcome there... but maybe like FA, Inkbunny would turn out to have a small, unexpected niche for a SFW cartoon artist like myself.

I guess that means the next question is, would either Itaku or Inkbunny have a problem with me firing up ol' Postybirb for a full-on gallery migration? Given the volume of content I have, even if I get super selective about migrating, I would likely come across as some variety of spambot.

For Account Migration, I super recommend from any site to Post 3 artwork batches one in the morning, afternoon, and night as to not spam, but also to reach out to eyeballs while uploading. If you want to post more than one art in a single post, Inkbunny allows Multiple Uploads as a SINGLE upload EXAMPLE HERE. SO You can totally group up a Few Specific Character artworks together if you really want.

Itaku lets you also post multiple uploads at once, but having a setting you can add making them NOT appear on Main and only your profile. Just be sure to click that option if you wanna mass upload on Itaku if you are doing a Multi-post mass upload. Downside would be that Mass blob wouldn't reach new Eyes.

Y'all finally talked me into giving this a shot. I'll look at Itaku in a bit, too. I guess worst-case scenario, if I don't like a site, I just stop using it like I did to DeviantArt or delete/disable it lol.

If I'm mass uploading for archival purposes, getting new eyes on art that's over a decade old isn't my top priority, and it looks like both Inkbunny and Itaku have options for me to migrate stuff without flooding the front page, which is definitely a Dick Move to artists that have been there for a while.

Inkbunny is a pretty solid site, my only issue with it is it dissallows the posting of humans in sexual situations. As far as archaic site rules go, its more of a sidegrade.

Agreed on that. It's the only thing I don't like about Inkbunny is that I still have to chop up my Gallery. It's at least nice of them that I can link out to the full art, though.

Just make a website, and host it on a real webhost.

I don't make enough money to keep up on a website domain, in all honestly. It all goes to my Cats' food and supplies. I have a rather hard time doing commissions and projects consistently. Otherwise, yes I definitely would.
