Really sorry, dude. That's a real punch to the gut. But with it being Twitter, I'd honestly say "good riddance" to it and its nonsense. To me, that site's never been worth it. It's unfortunate that so many people still cling to it for art, though. Don't know how you feel about dA, itaku, or even Pillowfort, but I'm sure there's another, better alternative out there. In the meantime, just try to relax and take things in stride.

I've tried other places like Pillowfort, Weasyl, and even Newgrounds, but unfortunately the user bases on those sites are so nonexistent that it ended up being fruitless. Without Twitter, dA is my largest "fanbase" but I'm not the biggest fan of the site's overall community and thus would never use it for regular communication with people. This site would be an acceptable alternative if it provided me any means of communication beyond these journal entries. If worse comes to worse I may be forced into creating another Twitter account but I highly doubt I'll ever be able to "rebuild my empire", so to speak. As of right now my entire art career is kind of on hold.

i saw a second artist say their twitter got suspended..... so, i'm kinda worried this is some mass reporting operation going on, targeting furry artist.... (again... since this same thing happened like a month ago cause some pointed out a big "we don't talk about that" regarding feral on e621)

I would suggest maybe making a Discord Server as a backup. Idk much about all these other art sites people keep recommending.

I have a Discord server but it's mainly mutual-only. I tried a public one once but it fell through because a majority of the people who joined were seemingly incapable of acting like adults when put into public situations

Twitter's been suspending a lot of NSFW Twitters for... seemingly zero reason. Hopefully it's just a mistake and they'll be unsuspending all the accounts they've banned, but that's still just a "hopefully." If they don't unsuspend you, Itaku or SoFurry might be worth looking into. Not as big as FA or Twitter, but the userbases are growing, especially since FA announced their new policy.

I've made accounts on FAR too many dead websites at this point lol, I'd rather just have my art career stay dormant until everyone finally moves to a better site and I won't have to wait another decade to rebuild my follower base

I recommend picking up and learning how to cross-site post with PostyBirb, so that way you can start automatically maintaining a secondary site. That way you don't have to worry about suddenly uploading a ton of art all at once if you have to pour in a bunch of time whenever there's an ebb or flow to certain sites.

That would be nice if there WAS some kind of secondary site to go to. All the other furry art sites besides this one are dead in the water, and I don't want to get my hopes up again only to gain one like in two years like on Weasyl

Kinda hard with the chicken-egg situation of who's gotta make the first jump over to using a site. Itaku.ee and Buzzly.art are ones currently seems to have some traction, Mastodon is doing it's own thing out there with it's federated situation. Consumers / commissioners don't have reason to jump unless artists even just casually post over on other sites. Weasyl is pretty quiet yeah, mainly any gallery of folks I see over there that are updated are pretty much kept propped up by PostyBirb.
