The people leaving the site over these confusing policy changes are overreacting like crazy.
They can feel free to migrate to another website but Twitter is genuinely worse as an art gallery than here, and every other alternative to FA is basically dead or has worse policies. (tumblr, weasyl, itaku, mastodon, and DA isn't looking much better these days)
FA doing another weird, confusing, and controversial change is nothing new, they do this like every year. As long as this site stays functional as an art-sharing website and keeps the classic view up-to-date, I'm satisfied. I've seen fatfurs that started here, but migrated over to twitter, fell into the political downward spiral and effectively deleted their FA over the pettiest shit. It's ridiculous.

Besides, I don’t have a Twitter out of principle, and that was years before the Musk stuff. And while DA is a fun platform to look at from time to time, I made my account ages ago and put up early bad art and significantly less bad RPG Maker sprites; I’d rather it stay that way, you know?
Though it's also a shame a good bulk of people on FA are too lazy to type out tags.
